The recent purchase of the Charis, formerly named Blue Squall, has raised concern in some individuals minds. This so called part ownership between the father and son has already engendered some discourage over a certain anchor line. The 100 ft, three strand nylon rhode in question was found in the row boat. Dad claimed he rowed it accross the channel where he had found it on the shore. Ryan said he found it along the road. This caused quite a row betwixt the two. Ryan accused Dad of telling a yarn, and Dad suggested that Ryan was just stringing him along. It wasn't until Nathan the wise suggested that the line be cut in equal shares. 2/3 for Dad and 1/3 for Ryan that the true owner became apparent. Both Dad and Ryan agreed to the fair and square method of division, bur Caleb, with a mighty bawl indicated his disgust with the plan. His tone clearly said, "Why one would render the noble line useless to it's task is beyond the scope of imagination." |
