Every story, every situation in WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT? centres around one of the six main characters, the unlucky, unhappy staff of the Big Burger Emporium (see a photo of a recent staff meeting on your left). These poor unfortunete souls are the real heart of this sitcom, and though I have not taken any individual person as a direct template for these six men and women, I have had enough experiecne, met and worked with so many people in my three and a half years working in fast food, that there is probably a bit of everyone in there some where.
Take a look below and get a little better aquainted with the staff...and ask yourself...would you every want to be served by any of them? |

The obnoxious store manager of the Big Burger Emporium. He can't run the place to save his life and has no respect whatever from his staff...only he doesn't seem to realise this little fact. As far as Mike is concerned the staff of the Big Burger Emporium store are one big happy family. And like any father he spends his day sat on his arse, chatting to his mates about football and boozing in his very messy office.
His life is in complete disarray. He puts all of his work on the poor unfortunete Danny and the only person he pays any attention to is the very scary and even more obnoxious Area Manager Linda, whom he follows round like a puppy dog on a leash...but let's not go there with those images! |

The most neurotic member of staff at the Big Burger Empoirum. Generally hated by all, mainly for the fact that she knows all eighteen company regulations off by heart and takes the Big Burger Emporium staff handbook to bed with her for bedtime reading. She is so desperate to become a manager she will grovel and suck up to Mike, and Linda the area manager any way she can, and for that she has become the store manager's pet.
Her time at work is spent quoting regulation after regulation and making sure the staff and the customer's know about it. She always has service with a smile, so much that the customers are ready to slap her by the end of their order. The only thing close to a relationship she has had was a snog with Danny the floor manager at the last staff christmas party, a fact that both of them are embarrised about and that Richard, Danny's best mate exaults in bringing up at every possible moment. |

A floor manager at the Big Burger Emporium who hates his boss and is desperate to esacpe his job. Unlike Sophie or Mike he doesn't know all eighteen company regulations, nor does he care. Is not surprising he hates both their guts too. Mike piles all his work on Danny, forcing him to virtually run the store...and Sophie... after the little incident of a drunken snog at the last staff christmas party and their constant rivalry...he'll resign if she ever gets promoted...not that it would keep a lot for him to resign...
His only real interest is in his friends. For some of the staff they are like a family. Richard is his best mate, and recently he has taken quite a fancy to Leanne, and he shares a common hatred for the area manager Linda with fellow worker Stacey. Danny's best weapon at work is his sarcasm, he can tell Mike escatly what he thinks os him and Mike still hasn't got a clue. |

She doesn't like her job. She doesn't like her boss. And yet Leanne manages to have a laugh every day. She speaks her mind. She's flirty. And she likes to play games with men...particularly Danny. In fact, she has wrapped so much round her little finger that he would do virtually anything she asks without him realising what he's doing.
Speaking her mind applies to everyone. She also have a way of telling Mike exactly what he is, though she can sometimes be a little more blunt and he's kinda starting to click on.
She is particularly close to Stacey, her dippy co-worker and best mate. She is very portective and always there to look out for her...and set her up. her latest pet project for Stacey is the new boy Andy, a year younger then Stacey. He's innocent, naive about his job and women...the pefect toy for Leanne to play with! |

Andy is new to the Big Burger Empoium, a sixteen year old young man just out of school and quite naive. This is his first job, and from the sart he's scared. That's partly because Leanne is trying to set him up with Stacey (though he and Stacey are becoming good friends anyway), partly because on his first day he had his first encounter with Lady Godzilla (Linda) but mainly because he's on the till and no one has really told him what he has to do. No one really cares about their work, apart from Sophie and regulation after regulation quoted day after day to everyone isn't going to make Andy, or anyone else better at his job.
But he's going to keep going. Mainly because he needs the money and he didn't get anywhere with his grades at school. For now he's stuck at the Big Burger Emporium and he's afraid he might never get out... |

She's the best friend of Leanne and she's taken a bit of a fancy to Andy, but more importantly, she is hopeless at her job. Completely hopeless. She spills drinks down customers, mixes up orders, gives the meals to the wrong customers, quite often a customer she hasn't even served, and is in a world of her own. It keep Leanne, her virtual big sis to keep her grounded and that barely works.
Luckily she knows she's crap at her job. Unlucky for everyone else nothing is going to change. Short of getting the sack, and that won't happen because everyone loves her and Mike is incapable of anything, she is always going to be on till. Adults avoid her now. Some kids cry when they go near her. But Stacey is always going to serving them with a big smile and a bit of chit-chat. |

STACEY "He wanted a plain doughnut. We only had chocolate. Which in my opinion is better anyway, don't you think? But he went on and on about being allergic to chocolate. And I said 'don't be so fussy sir'"
LEANNE "Stacey. When someone is allergic to something, they can't eat it. Chocolate makes him ill."
