Bus spotting trip:
"All Over Singapore"

I met Ben at the bus stop nearest to our home at Sembawang Drive. We took TIB 1111 P of service 859 to Sembawang Road to transfer to service 969 to meet Charles, who was waiting for us at Tampines.

TIB 728 S came along. This bus was operating on service 184 on Saturday, 10 May 2003. This MB O405 took us to Tampines Interchange in less than 50 minutes. Along the way, we spotted two Dennis Lance 245, which I presume to be service 969.

At Tampines, we saw SBS 999 Y going out of Tampines Interchange towards Bedok. We went for lunch and Ben went to get his stuffs done. Along the way, we spotted Dennis Lance 245 operating on service 67. We also saw SBS 31 L, the first registered Scania N113 of SBS Transit serving route 293, a Tampines Townlink service. We waited for a while and saw SBS 999 U back from Bedok. I took some pictures of the bus and went for a joyride on the bus. Along the way, we saw SBS 9848 M of service 168 along Bedok Reservoir Rd.

When we reached Bedok, we saw 1 Volvo Super Olympian on service 168, SBS 9846 T. We transferred to a service 33 Volvo MK4 (DM) to Old Airport Road. From there, we transferred to a Volvo Olympian service 30 (SBS 9350 G) to Boon Lay.

When we reached Boon Lay, we saw 2 Bendy Bus on service 172, SBS 1036 Z and TIB 838 H, the first Bendy Bus in Singapore. We took TIB 1036 Z to Choa Chu Kang, and TIB 838 H back to Boon Lay.

After that, we took a rather long ride on service 257. The ride is a eye opener for the three of us.

Back at Boon Lay, we took service 178, a MB O405 TIB 542 K to Woodlands Centre Road for dinner. After that, we took TIB 1196 U on service 903 to Woodlands Interchange and took another MB Volgren Bendy Bus, TIB 1191 H on service 912.

End of spotting, Charles took SBS 2724 H of service 168 home, while Ben and I took TIB 968 R of service 962 home.
