The Daughter of an Outlaw Part 1- "True Love of Enemies" Disclaimer: I do not, I repeat do not own Outlaw Star. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Gene Starwind is in a field looking up to the sky. His arms are around a little red hair girl in front of him.) Girl: (looks up at Gene) Daddy, I will bring her back. I promise. Gene: I know you will. (The screen goes to a picture of the same girl but she is 18.) Narrator: Katie Starwind, the daughter of the outlaw, Gene Starwind and Melfina. She is outgoing, brave, determined, outrageous, fearless, outspoken, dangerous, and the list goes on. Her personality what gets her in most trouble. She was worth more dead than alive, because she has more bounties than anything else. She is an Outlaw like her father. Her whole goal in life is to find her twin sister that was kidnapped when she was 5. (The screen goes to Katie in a cockpit of a starship) Katie: Blue Heaven, this Super Nova calling for docking permission in section 5. A guy: This is Blue Heaven, permission is granted for docking in section 5 for the Super Nova. Katie: Roger that. (Katie pushes some buttons and drives in the docking bay and parks. She gets up and leaves the ship. Gene is standing in the docking bay.) Gene: Where were you? Katie: I had to do a little stop. Gene: So, that why I just recently found another bounty on your head. Katie: I can't help it people love me to death. Gene: You cost me too much money. Katie: Your money? You mean, Fred Lo's. Gene: Hey, I will pay him back when I make it big. (They walk in the elevator.) Katie: Daddy, you will never make it big. Gene: I will. Just wait and see. Katie: Where's mom? Gene: Home. Katie: Home. I haven't been there for a month. Gene: Well, you're in luck, you are staying there for a couple of months. Katie: (shock) What?!? Gene: Your mother and I decided that you need to stay in a place not getting in trouble. Katie: But... Gene: No, buts. (The elevator gets to the floor they want and they get out and walk down a road.) Katie: What will I do for a month? Gene: I heard Fred Lo is in town. Katie: Which one? Gene: Jr. Katie: Oh no. I gone, I'm not here at all. Gene: What so bad about him? Katie: You are talking about the son of Fred Lo. The only thing useful about him is his money, which he throws around. Gene: Sounds good to me. Katie: Dad, he is annoying. Gene: So? Katie: So, I don't like him. (Gene opens a door to a house.) Gene: What do you mean you don't like him? (They enter and Melfina is in the kitchen) Katie: I'm meant I don't like him. Melfina: Katie, you're home. Katie: Yes and can you tell Dad to stop talking about Fred Lo Jr.? Melfina: Gene, stop it. Gene: Okay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie is sitting on the couch in Starwind & Hawking building on Blue Heaven. Then, Jim and a 15-year-old girl walk in) Katie: Hey Jim and Diana. What are you doing here? Jim: I going with your parents, and Diana is staying here with you. Katie: Party! (Gene walks in) Gene: No parties. Katie: What? You're totally ruining my life. Gene: I'm not ruining your life. Katie: Yes, you are. Gene: How? Katie: For starters, you won't let me leave Blue Heaven and now no parties. Gene: I trying to keep you alive. Katie: I will stay alive longing, if I not in the same place 24/7. Jim: She's more like you ever day. Katie: No I'm not. Diana: So, tell me about your last trip. For some strange reason I couldn't go. (Looks at Jim) Jim: She is a bad influence on you. Diana: No, she isn't. I'm a good influence on her. When I go with her, she isn't in much trouble as she is without me. Jim: That why you are staying here with her. Katie: Don't worry so much. When they get back, we will be gone on other adventure. Gene: Yeah, an adventure. Katie: See. Gene: No, you are staying here until you are more grow-up. Katie: Then you can't leave, or you will be a hypocrite. Gene: I'm not. Katie: Are too. Gene: I'm not. Katie: Are too. Gene: I'm not. Katie: Are too. Jim: You guys start acting your age, not your shoe size. Katie: He's the one acting immature. Jim: You are too. Katie: Come on Diana, I feel like I'm not wanted here. (Katie and Diana leave the room.) Gene: So, are you ready to hit it big? Jim: As I'll ever be. Gene: Great. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie is laying on a couch and the phone rings. She gets up and run to the other end of the room and picks up the phone.) Katie: Starwind and Hawking. Guy on the other end: This is Fred Jr. and I wonder if Katie is there. Katie: No, sorry you just missed her, but can I take a message. Fred Jr.: Tell her I'm here on Blue Heaven and I will call back. Katie: Okay. Bye. Fred Jr.: Bye. (She hangs up, she run back to the couch and then, the phone rings. So, once again she runs to the phone and picks it up.) Katie: Starwind and Hawking. Guy on the other end: I have job to be done. Katie: Okay. Can you tell me more? Guy: Not on the phone. Meet me at the Sunset Bar on... Katie: I know where it is. Guy: Okay. Meet me there at seven. (The guy hanged up.) Katie: Yes. Something to do! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie goes in a bar that in a middle of row of bars. She walks to the counter.) Katie: Hey bartender. I want a fruit cocktail, hold the fruit and cocktail, just the liquor. Bartender: (turns around and hands Katie a beer) Here Katie. I didn't know you're back in town. Now this boring place will be a little more interesting. Katie: I thought it's always interesting here. Bartender: With you around, it gets even more. So why are you here? Katie: Meeting someone. Bartender: Is it that guy over there? He has been waiting for you. Katie: What does he want? Bartender: He said he has a job for you. Katie: That's the guy. Gotta go. Bartender: Don't die on us. Katie: I can't promise anything. (Katie walks to a guy that sat in a corner of the bar, and sits down at his table.) Guy: Are you Katie? Katie: Depends. Who want to know? Guy: I have a job. Katie: What kind? Guy: I want you get something for me. Katie: I don't do jobs for someone I don't know. Guy: They call me, Ace. Katie: Okay, Ace, what do you want me to do? Ace: I need you to get this. (He slid an envelope to Katie. Katie opened the envelope and look at the picture that was in the envelope.) Katie: The Heart Diamond. It's worthless. Why do you want it? Ace: It was in my family for generation, then someone stole it, and now I want it back. Katie: I heard it got stolen from the museum it was in. Ace: Yes, by the kei pirates. Katie: The pirates. I like the sound of this. Ace: I know. I was watching you for awhile... Katie: What you were spying on me? Like a stalker. Ace: I wanted to know if you were perfect for the job. Katie: And what did you found out? Ace: This job is made for you. Katie: Do I have to travel? Ace: Yes. Katie: I'll take it. Ace: I knew you would. (He pulls out another from his jacket) Here you'll get ten percent and the rest later. (Katie grabs the envelope and opens it) Katie: Ten million-yen. You got to be kidding. This is just ten percent. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Ace: I need to get going. Katie: Why don't you stay and have a couple of drinks with me? Ace: No, thanks. Katie: You will be missing out. Ace: There's more information you'll need to know in the first envelope. (Ace walks out) Katie: I guess I have a night on the town. Bartender: Don't get in too much trouble. Katie: You know me. Bartender: That's what I'm afraid of. Katie: (walking out) Later! (Waves bye) Bartender: (talking to a guy at the bar) She's something, isn't she? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie is sitting at the crowed bar with smoke ever where. There's a shot glass in front of her filled with whiskey. She picks it up and drinks it.) Katie: One more. (The bartender pours the glass. As he was doing that, a guy around the same age of Katie sits down to the right of Katie.) Katie: Haven't seen you for a long time? Guy: Just got in. Katie: Me too. Been here a week. So what brings you to my little corner of the universe? Guy: You. Katie: You're too sweet to be a MacDougall. Guy: Katie, let's blow this joint, and see if Blue Heaven is ready you and me. On me of course. Katie: I will go anywhere with you, Ricky. Just say the word and I will run-away with you. Leave this place and our parents behind. Ricky: You're a hopeless romantic. Katie: And that's why you love me, right? (Ricky leaned over and kisses Katie.) Ricky: That and many other reasons. Katie: Let's go. (They get up, and with their arms linked together, leaves the bar.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie is asleep in the bed of a hotel room naked with a sheet over her. She wakes up.) Katie: (sleepily) Ricky. (Stretched and feel around the bed) (She gets up with the sheet around and goes to the table. There's a tiny box and a letter on the table. She picks it up and reads it) Katie: (reading the note) To My Beloved Katie, You're my love and always will be until the day I die. You are always on my mind. You the first thing I think of when I wake-up and the last when I go to sleep. You're my soul mate and every time we're apart I just can't wait into I'm back in your arms. The next time we meet, I will take you away from here, and make you my wife. We will never be apart ever again. We will start a new life. Just the two of us. I promise. Your love, Ricky. (Katie puts up the box and opened it. She grasps and takes a ring out of the box. There's a chain attached to it. A note fell out until the ground. She picks it up and reads it.) Katie: Yes, I'll marry you. (She takes the necklace with the ring on it and puts it on.) Katie: I love you, Ricky MacDougall where ever you are. (The scene changes to where Ricky was. He was at the control of a ship.) Ricky: Katie Starwind, I will keep my promise. Nobody can keep me from you, not ever the kei pirates. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Diana is laying on the couch in Starwind and Hawking Co. in Blue Heaven. Katie walks in whistling.) Diana: What are you so happy about? Katie: I meet Ricky last night. Diana: Katie, I don't know why you see him? You will be in trouble if your father catches you with him. Katie: He hasn't for two years. Diana: He will some day. Katie: Whatever. I have some good news. Diana: What? Katie: Ricky asked me to marry him. Diana: (shock) WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY? Katie: Yes. Diana: What? I don't see a ring. Katie: (takes the necklace out of beneath her shirt) It came with a chain, see. Isn't Ricky thoughtful? Diana: More on the line of dead man walking. Katie: You're just jealous. The man I love loves me in return. The one you love is in love with me. (Diana starts to cry) Katie: I don't know what you see in Fred Lo Jr. He thinks of nothing but himself, like his father. Diana: (still crying) Katie stop it. Katie: It's true. Ricky will do anything for me, but Fred Lo Jr. doesn't know that you exist. Diana: Stop it. Just stop it. (It is quiet for a second, except the sound of Diana crying) Katie: Diana, I'm sorry. Diana: I know you are. Katie: I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. Diana: You were right. Fred doesn't love me. Katie, I'm happy for you. Katie: Oh yeah. I have more good news. Diana: What? Katie: I hit the jackpot of all jobs. Diana: What? Katie: I took a job that ten percent is just ten million-yen. Diana: I don't believe you. What kind of job is it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie is in her ship, the Super Nova, in the pilot seat.) Katie: Okay, Nova lets get ready to leave. Nova: (the female computer) I have orders from your father that I can't let you leave this station. Katie: Who is the owner of this ship? Nova: Your father until you turn 21. Katie: Oh, I just going make sure you still can work. Nova: That what you said last time, and somehow you rounded up in a space forces' jail. Katie: Fine, fine. I have a job on Sentinel III. A big one. Nova: But your parents... Katie: Parents are just here to make me bored, besides what they don't know won't hurt them. Nova: How it your way, but don't come crying to me when you get in trouble. Katie: I won't because they won't find out. Nova: Whatever. Katie: Ready. Start engines. Release supports. 3, 2, 1, Let's go! (The Super Nova blast off into space from Blue Heaven) Katie: Sentinel III, ready or not, here I come. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie walks in a dark warehouse.) Katie: Hello. Anyone here? Ace where are you? Ace: I'm over here. (Katie walks deeper in the warehouse. Ace is sitting on a crate.) Katie: I got you diamond, so where's my money? Ace: I don't have it now. Katie: Then you're not getting this. Ace: But I will have it very soon, after I get your bounty. (He pulls his gun out and pointed it out Katie.) Katie: (Katie draws her gun) I knew this job was too good to be true. Put down the gun. A guy voice behind her: I think you should put down yours. (Katie turns around and Ron MacDougall is behind her with his caster gun pointed at her) Katie: (drops her gun) Look what I find here. A MacDougall. (Ron shot his gun. The bullet skims Katie's right arm and then kills Ace behind her.) Katie: Why do you have to do that for? I know he was a jerk and a liar. To think about it, he promise me there will be kei pirates, and there wasn't even one. That bastard. Ron: You will see kei pirates very soon. Now hands where I can see them. Katie: (raises her hands) You don't trust me. I don't blame you. (Ron takes out a pair of handcuffs and slaps them on Katie's hands. And then, takes the paunch where the diamonds is in.) Katie: Aren't you the kinky one? Are you a little old for me? Ron: No more talking. Katie: Fine, fine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- (Katie is in a room in the Shangri-La. There is just a couch and a table with a plant on it. She has her hands on the wall, and Ron is searching her for weapons.) Katie: At least take me out on a date first. Ron: (moves down to her leg and pulls out a gun out of her boot) Done. Katie: Finally. (She turns around and looks at a 12' in. box full of knives, guns, and bullets) Man, I forget I had that many. (A screen on the wall turn on and Harry MacDougall is on it) Harry: Are you done? Ron: Just finish. Harry: Good. Oh by the way, Ricky is here. Ron: Send him in. I need him to search her even more. Harry: Yes, Ron. Katie: So that's Harry. I heard a lot about him. (The door opens and Ricky walks in) Ricky: You want to see me, father. Ron: I need you to strip search her. Katie: Man, You're fast. I least wait until the third date. Ricky: Yes, sir. Ron: Throw all her belongs in there. Ricky: Yes, sir. Katie: Then, what am I going to wear? Ron: Give her those clothes over there. Ricky: Yes, sir. (Ron leaves the room and shut the door behind him) Ricky: What are you doing here, Katie? (Katie runs up to Ricky and kisses him.) Katie: You know when you promise me you going to take me away? Ricky: Yes. Katie: Can you do it now? Ricky: No. Katie: What! Ricky: This is my father's ship, not Blue Heaven. Katie: So. We were going to start all over again. Remember. Ricky: This is different. Katie: How? Ricky: For starters, he know in an instant that you're gone, and he'll track us down. Katie: That sounds fun. Ricky: Katie, I don't want it to start out like that. I want us to go to some planet that nobody knows us, get marry, and have a house full of kids. Katie: Okay. (she looks down and starts to cry) Ricky: (lifts up Katie face and looks straight in the eye with her) Don't cry, Katie. I love you. I don't want you to be sad. I just want it to be perfect for us. Katie: I not crying because I'm sad. Ricky: Then why are you crying? Katie: I'm happy and when you mention kids and all... Ricky: What? Katie: I want our baby to grow-up in that environment. Ricky: (shocked) You're pregnant? Katie: Yes. Ricky: How long did have you known? Katie: Just a couple of days. After I got the diamond. Ricky: What diamond? Katie: You don't know? (Ricky nodded his head no) Katie: The last time I saw you, I got a job a couple of hours before. Ricky: Wait. Is the diamond, the Heart Diamond? Katie: How do you know? Ricky: The kei pirates want that diamond. I just here to get it to bring to them. Katie: Wait. Your father said that I would see the pirates soon. Ricky: What? You must be mistaken. Katie: Then why am I here? Ricky: I have to talk to my father and you're coming with me. (Ricky grabs Katie's arm and pulls her to the cockpit with him) Ricky: Father, I want to talk to you. Ron: Why is she wearing the same clothes, and why is she here? Ricky: That what I want to know. Ron: The kei pirates is paying a good price for her. Ricky: What? You're not taking her. Ron: You will not disobey me. Ricky: You are not taking her. Ron: Why? She means nothing to you. Ricky: She does mean something to me. I love her. Ron: You just met her a few minutes ago, and you think you're in love with her. Ricky: I met her two years ago, and I fall in love with her then. Ron: What! You have been seeing her behind my back. Ricky: Yes, and she's carrying my child. Ron: How do you know it's yours? Katie: I'm not a slut! I don't sleep with every guy I see. I'm faithful to my love. Ricky: And I plan to marry her. Ron: You idiot. Do you know who her father is? She's a Starwind. Ricky: I know that. I surprise she said yes to me, because she knew who my father was. I doubt she wants to become a MacDougall. Katie: To think about it, do I really want to be a MacDougall? I guess you have to take the bad with the good. Ricky: Hey. What's wrong with my family? Katie: Nothing, nothing. Ricky: Liar. Ron: She's trouble. Ricky: That why I love her. Ron: If I don't give her to the kei pirates, she had to stay with you and never go home. Ricky: I understand. Ron: You will have to marry her. I don't want a Starwind as a grandchild. Ricky: Yes, sir. Katie: Wait one minute. This doesn't make sense. A minute ago, you want to sell me to the pirates and now you want me as a daughter-in-law. What's the catch? Ron: That you will never see your parents ever again. Katie: Not even once. Ron: Not even once. Katie: Can I think about this? I can go with the kei pirates and never see my parents again or Ricky, and live in misery, or I can marry Ricky, and never see my parents again, but I will be happy? I'll marry Ricky. Ron: It actually not you're decisive to make, it's Ricky's. Ricky: I'll marry her. Ron: Or you sure? Ricky: Yes, I'm sure. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Katie and Ricky are in a chapel getting married. Katie is wearing a white sundress and Ricky is wearing a nice black suit.) Priest: Do you, Ricky MacDougall, take this woman to have and to hold thorough sickness and thorough health to death do you part? Ricky: I do. Priest: And do you, Katie Starwind, take this man to have and to hold thorough sickness and thorough health to death do you part? Katie: I do. Priest: Now with the power invested to me, I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride. (Ricky leaned over and kissed Katie. Then Katie put her arms around his neck.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------- Please Review!
