Hoaxes & Internet Scams

Before forwarding a chain email, I look through these sites to see if it is a scam or untrue email. You may have to search more than one of these sites to see if the chain email is true or not. About 98% of the time, the email is a scam or untrue. I email a polite note to the person who sent it to me (as well as the 50+ people who'd been CCd on the email) and provide the link to the site that proves the email to be false. This is one way we can combat malicious or merely time-wasting emails from clogging the system. :)
