The Northern Beaches Avalanches are a team made up of high school students - predominantly from Northern Beaches SHS, as the name suggests - and a misguided old teacher. They were formed in February 2002, when some of the founding members of the team decided to give the game a go. Since then they've proven to be a tricky test for most teams, but unfortunately, still get beaten more often than not. Seem to be everyone's favourite to come bottom of the NQBA ladder this season.
