Welcome to the NPUCTS! Thank you for taking the time to check out our paintball tournament series.

Please Note: Pre-Registration is required this year!

The Northern Plains Ultimate Crown Tournament Series (NPUC) is an amateur paintball tournament series established in the spring of 1996. The NPUC is designed to provide tournament play to an area once void of such competition. The goal of the NPUC is to provide an inexpensive,
(fee's) hassle-free, tournament series that will encourage new teams to participate in tournament style paintball. The NPUCTS is a non-profit league. All moneys that the league collects (excluding expenses and does not include the field fee's) are returned to the players in prizes. This years prizes included four Ricochet loaders, JT ice goggles, a Tippman flat line and a E-mag!

CHEATING OR POOR SPORTSMANSHIP IS NOT TOLERATED!!!

The NPUC tournament series uses a 5-man, center flag,
limited paint format. Each team member is allowed 200 rounds per game. The limited paint rule is designed to make the tournament affordable and fair to all new and experienced teams.

Teams will be assigned to Novice or Amateur divisions based on their experience.

Fields involved in the NPUC series are different in size, design, and terrain. Home field teams are required to referee, thus avoiding any type of home field advantage. The winning team of each amateur tournament is required to wear colored jerseys ( or shirts) during the next scheduled tournament as a handicap. Each leg of the tournament is conducted as an individual tournament with trophies and prizes awarded at the end of the day.

Competing teams also receive NPUC championship points based on how each team places in each tournament. The NPUC championship points are earned during the tournament series and are totaled at the end of the year to determine a tournament series winner. The first place teams of the Novice and Amateur divisions will be awarded Championship Jackets and individual trophies for each team member will be awarded to the top four (4) placing teams in each division.

The 2002 season is comprised of six (6) scheduled NPUC sanctioned tournaments and a players party. Teams are not required to play in all of the tournaments. A team can play in one, two, three, or all of the scheduled tournaments. A team must participate in four (4) of the six (6) NPUC sanctioned tournaments to be eligible for the NPUC Championship Title. In addition, those players that participate in NPUC sanctioned events are eligible to be included in the prize raffles at the end of the NPUC tournament season in September. (Historically, over $10,000 in prizes have been awarded). If a player participates in less than four (4) events they must be present to win. Again, this tournament series stresses
good sportsmanship, inexpensive play, friendly competition, and a good time for all.

After each tournament there usually is enough time to participate in recreational style play. Participating players are formed into different teams for a "Big Game" or "Special Challenge".

2002 RULE CHANGES:
Yes, I finally have them posted. Synopsis of rules changes, penatiles have gone from a 1 for 1 or 3 for 1, to strictly penalty points. Depending on the infraction up to a minus six hundred points. Ref must follow the head ref's instructions, or be subject to removal. In case of nineteen or more teams, we will go to a three-pool system. But, mostly a lot of "house cleaning". Making the rules easier to understand, clearing up contradictions etc. We are really pushing the pre-registration this year. Please do so.There is one thing that is not listed in the rules, but will be shortly. All team are required to clean up after themselves. If they do not, they will penalized -25 year end points.
