Homework 1: Find four websites on student portfolios.

A) At Wellesley College , each student in CS100 has their resume posted along with their research paper. Each paper is geared toward a different topic which is important to us today. The students' papers are current and very interesting.

B) At the Art Institute of Los Angeles , each graphic design student showcases their best work. I enjoyed looking through each student's portfolio because some of the designs are breathtaking. Each student put their best foot forward and it shows throughout their portfolios.

C) At Central Michigan University , there are many students, in different majors, who have their portfolios posted. One student's portfolio, Monica Watson's, caught my eye because she is a math major. She put so much detail into her portfolio. Her accomplishments and beliefs are spread wonderfully throughout her pages.

D) At Virginia Tech University , the students are theatre design majors. One such student, Stephan H. Palmer, is a lighting designer. He has each play posted in which he designed the lighting along with a shapshot of the play. His portfolio shows his wonderful talent.

Homework 2: Write a paragraph on the progress of your classes this semester.

My classes are going very well. In Mat 150, I have been asked to help the other students. I have begun doing review sessions for them. In Mat 179, I am learning new and wonderful aspects of statistics. Mat 442 is very intersting and stimulating. I always want to know why something is done a certain way. While in my online course, Eco 350, I am not only learning the material being presented, but I am also learning a lot about my classmates. I enjoy the discussions that we have online. I am also doing an independent study with a math faculty member, and I am almost finished with it. Good luck to all as the end of the semester approaches!
