About the Most Recent Vomit of Reaction
From time to time Peruvian reaction has the habit of vomiting up black outbursts, and now is that time. This filth isn’t produced by coincidence or by some physical peculiarity of the country’s reactionaries, but it rather corresponds to a particular dynamic. The thing is that the counterrevolutionary hoaxes–the black vomit, that is–form part of what they call the “psychological war” within the Yankee strategy of “low-intensity war”. They aim at putting ideas in the head of the people, and that’s why their maneuvers in this camp vary according to the case and the public to whom they try to reach: they apply a propaganda for their own people, another for our’s (according to the particularities), another for world public opinion, etc. The latest, which has followed that of the “narco-terrorists” (see the pronouncement of the MPP for the 27th Anniversary of the People’s War for more details), is that we are now killing homosexuals because of their status as such. This isn’t something new, they have shouted this at the top of their lungs before. We won’t get into a great debate here about those that are or are not, homosexuality in general or on the position of Marxism with respect to this, being that it is clear enough since the foundation of the International Communist Movement (the position of Marx and Engels is widely known). What interests us is to see what particular role this new reactionary vomit plays, to in this way ward off the reaction’s propaganda, and to show the revolutionary truth. That’s why we would like to lay down the following: 1) The Communist Party of Peru (PCP) has never killed anyone FOR BEING homosexual. Those who have indeed practiced this kind of politics are the Che Guevarist “heros” of the MRTA, during the historical lapse of its existence. The one who has also done it, and is doing it, is the old Peruvian State through its Armed Forces, police and auxiliary (rondas) who, following its fascist and genocidal logic, need to prove its “masculinity” with the worst and most cowardly persecusion, torture and genocide against the unarmed masses. 2) It is inevitable that by the action of the PCP or of one of its aparatuses that lead, individuals with a homosexual orientation have died. It cannot be any other way, because the homosexuals–like it or not–the same as all the rest of humanity, live in class society and therefore are going to take a position for one class or another in the class struggle. That’s why, when the class struggle explodes in open civil war, as is the case in Peru where the PCP for over 27 years leads the victorious and powerful people’s war, the homosexuals, the same as the all the rest of the population, have to go and take a position for one side or the other. Some take a position for imperialism, reaction and revisionism, while others put themselves at the side of the people and the revolution. And this is how it is in people’s war. If the revolutionary forces annihilate someone, it is because that subject has aligned himself with the armed counterrevolution in the matter of the struggle between revolution and armed counterrevolution or by attacking the interests and rights of the masses in other ways (which in the end is reduced to taking a position for the counterrevolution). A person is not annihilated because they have or have not had intimate relations with a person of the same sex. 3) The so-called “gay movement” on a world level is a movement pushed forward by imperialism. It is a movement based on an arch-reactionary idealism and promotes the so-called “individual liberty” which is nothing but bourgeois “liberty”, which is to say the right of one to oppress and exploit the masses of people. It is proclaimed to be above the class struggle and includes in its heart every kind of human degeneration. That’s how it is, that such an “libertine movement” which is nothing but an anti-communist, anti-proletarian and anti-people movement; never has there been reconciliation between such a movement and ours. But even so, we insist, the contradiction with the members of such specified movement will be judged the same as any other contradiction with other party member elements, organizations or groups opposed to ours. Those who are an enemy of the people will be sanctioned severely while with those who don’t have a blood debt with the people, the struggle will be carried out with different methods; for example, the case of the genocidal fascist Alan Garcia is different from a simple rank and file Apra member. 4) The contradictions in the heart of the people are resolved with non-antagonistic means, with criticism and self-criticism. Whichever other discrepancy, which may even be of fundamental character, seeks solution through this method. Another thing is that we apply the dictatorship, be it of the classes of the people under the proletarian leadership in the New State or that of the proletariat in Socialism, this yes; the hand of the revolutionaries doesn’t tremble when it deals with settling accounts with the enemies of the people. But this is very different than the image–false–they try to paint when they spread these kinds of hoaxes. What they want to foment is the idea that the communist ideology is “authoritarian”, “the same as fascism”, etc., while they celebrate the “superiority” of the ruling imperialist system in the world. In this respect, it is true that we are authoritarians against them, a revolution is the most authoritarian that there is in the world, as Engels said; but we aren’t that against the people. The exact opposite, it is recently with the democratic revolution, led by the PCP, that the Peruvian people for the first time have come to know what it means to be masters of their own life, wielding it in the People’s Committees, a true democracy. The fascists are them, it is they who use it against the proletariat and the people. Their “democracy” means for them the right of paying more attention to “problems” like “lifestyle”, fashion, how to reproduce and things of that magnitude, while the masses live submitted to a demonic exploitation and oppression. In this way, this black vomit of reaction is nothing but hoaxes against the PCP and the people’s war that it leads and, already a habit as well, they will have to swallow them, because the Party with People’s War blows its plots into a million pieces. This hoax is directed mainly at a sector of the progressives on an international level, who are sensitive to this kind of topic. In reality it makes us happy, because it implies that the stir caused by the people’s war has reached more broad sectors and that’s why the reaction and its imperialist masters, hand in hand with the ill-fated revisionists, have become desperate by the all around failure of their plan to isolate us. And we aren’t worried, the progressives will know what is and what isn’t progress, but these people simply aren’t progressives and so it’s not our problem what such people might think. We know that it is through revolutionary war that the New Culture will be forged, scientific and of the people, guided by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, Gonzalo Thought, mainly Gonzalo Thought, and with that all human relations will transform. It is the revolution which generates the New Man, a process which only Communism can conclude. Furthermore, its worth concluding, making record to those concerned that we are partisans of what Chairman Mao put forward: “Revolution isn’t a tea party, nor to write a book, nor to paint a mural or to knit a sweater; it can’t be so elegant, so paced and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, it is an act of violence through which one class overthrows another.” New Democracy Association
