[ Imai Eriko(ex-SPEED) to star NHK drama - 12/03/01 ]
In the 7th of this month she released a new single [identity], now Imai Eriko(ex-SPEED)
will face a new challenge. She will be interpreting a girl who dislikes make-up and end
working at the marketing department of a company which makes cosmetics company.
Eriko seemed very motivated with the role, the filming will start next month.
The drama is NHK's [Rouge] and is the first drama she will star. While in SPEED
she acted in TBS [LxIxVxE] together with HITOE, but this time she will be all by herself.
NHK explained why she was choosed "The role is about a girl who while suffering will
manage superate a lot of things, and even when she fails she will learn something.
This character is very similar to Imai-san in real life.". Offcourse besides that helped
the fact that she went well on the annual popularity survey NHK makes every year and
her acting skills. She received this year the Golde Arrow Newcomer Actress award for
her work in [Hi no tori]. Another attractive for this drama is the theme, the cosmetic
industry has several CMs on TV, but a drama about the industry was a kind of tabboo.
