DECEMBER 2006

12/28/2006

Today they put a feeding tube into his stomach. His ICP (Intra-Cranial Pressure) was between 19 - 24 yesterday and today. The nurses believe he is on the down slope and his pressure should be dropping in the next few days.

The Dr. put in a vena cava filter to keep blood clots from traveling into his lungs, they did a CT scan of his brain and sinuses. His sinuses had fluid so they figured he had a sinus infection, which was the reason for the coughing and the fever. The CT of his brain came back ok, of course only time will tell how much damage he sustained.

They are scheduling Thomas to have a Trach put in on Saturday. The surgery for his back has been postponed because his ICP is still too high for him to be flat out for the 8 - 10 hour surgery. Hopefully he will be ready next week.

Thomas is still in a coma and in stable condition, although the pressure in his brain has come down slightly.

12/22/2006

At the moment, there is no change in Thomas' condition. He is in a coma and in stable condition. We will try to update this page on a daily basis or whenever there is a change in his condition.

Please continue to pray for Thomas and his family.

Thank you for all of your wishes, thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.
