I was invited to a barbeque retreat on Paul Tennant's Bowen Island property this past weekend where I had the chance to meet a wonderfully friendly cat, hear stories of a near-death experience with a could-be bear, have my hair blown everywhere while on the ferry, and sit back and relax with fresh cut apples and melting brie.
