Moulin Rouge
Rating: 7 1/2
Running Time: 1-2 hours (est.)
Review:
Well first off to say: It is a very musical movie, using old songs by Police, Marylin Manroe, Madonna and more, used those songs and put it into a old paris late 1800's flick. It starts out happy and playful, then takes a dark twisted turn to the depths of death. By that I mean sadness, lost of a love and a terribly insane man. While the main character Christian <Ewan McGregor> lives on to write a story about his one year with Satine.
Now a closer examine of the film:
It had great acting, great costumes, origional dances. What more could you want in a film? Can-Can dancing girls, a hot guy, a hilarious migit and a insane bad guy? Well, you could add maybe a teeny bit of better acting, but I mean it had tremendous acting and wonderful singing. How they organized all the musical scenes and songs was just amazing! A very sweet flick, defenately worth going to see in a theatre or buying on VHS or DVD. That's about it, the reason it's a 7 1/2 is because of how I didn't really care for Zidler very much, he was a great actor, I didn't really care for the characters, also why I give it a 7 1/2 is becasue I thought the characters could be a little more developed. But I'm putting them down, they were awsome kick-butt characters, hust thought they could be developed a little better.
