Review:
First off, it has good acting, a good story line and lovely characters. About a man, not from nobility, he wants to joust, although back then you MUST be from nobility to joust. Jousting is a sport they did back then in the medeivel times on horses and championships and tournaments. This is again about a man, like I said before, who wants to joust, so he breaks all the rules, but unfortunatly he need patents and 4 generations of nobility on either side. That's where he meets Chaucer, a writer, a non-humble writer. Now let's look at the movie a bit more closely at the acting and emotion...
You could tell that they enjoyed playing in the movie, and didn't have a pained look on their face in a cheerful part. Their vioces I thought, matched very well with the line and emotion that was supposed to be felt in the scene. The acting was wonderful, possibly, from a new aged movie, 1998-2002, was the best acting possible nowadays. What also made it good was the fact it didn't have much unintentional humor, which also makes a movie good. Like in a dramatic scene, where someones love dies, you see bad acting and no emotion, it seems funny, I hate to admit. Well, overall this was a good movie, definately worth buying on VHS or DVD if you like it. I sure did. And if you read my scale, an 8 is pretty hard to get (If you've read my scale).
