Rating:

I absolutely loved this book. I really could not put in down. The author described the characters so I could picture them in my mind.

The author described everything in detail. The author was very descriptive in detailing the events, so it was easy to visualize. The settings were also very descriptive, like the dark and stormy night.

The beginning was a little confusing because there was too much information presented at one time. The author should have spread out the events more. I had to refer back to the beginning to remember any important events or characters that I missed.

The events in this book were very exciting. The Dollhouse Murders was a real "page-turner". I really enjoyed this book because it contained a lot of suspense and excitement. The events held me in suspense. When I first read this book I could not go near my dollhouse for weeks!

The ending was good, but I think the author should have presented it in more of an exciting way. She told you the end and didn’t add and excitement to it. Maybe if she changed the setting it might have been better. They weren’t as mysterious as they should have been.

I really liked the characters in this book, but my favorite was Amy’s aunt. She seemed so nice. All the other characters were fantastic. [Amy]

The introduction was very interesting.  It went into the story right away.  Not like, “Hi my name is…”  There were good descriptions of characters, places, etc.  It could be improved if the author put some exciting events in the beginning to get the reader interested.

There were very exciting events.  One of them was when Amy saw the dolls move for the first time.  It was exciting because it felt like I was in the book.

The characters were okay.  They were all normal, everyday people, but in exciting events, it was a page-turner.

I liked when I finished reading the book because it was very exciting.  I thought over what I liked about the book and what needed to be improved.

This book became a real page-turner by making me go from one event to another!  It could be improved if the author took out some unnecessary details.  She could of taken out the part where she described the detailed dollhouse.  This was my first mystery book, and it became one of my favorite books!
