Rating:
It was a real page-turner. I couldn’t put the book down. The story it kept me wondering. The book was also very descriptive. An example of that was when the author described Voldemort as a serpent-like child with a snake-like face. The stories real life lesson is pretty helpful as well. The lesson is to be prepared for anything. The characters are also very unique. An example of that is Professor Moody and his magical eye, Hagrid and his huge size, and Professor Snape and his mean personality. The story was pretty well organized but it could have been even more organized. An example of that was one minute they talked about the tournament and the next about Ron’s brothers Fred and George. The introduction was okay because the beginning starts out the same way as the other books in the series. It got my attention in the beginning when they go to see the quidditch championship, a wizard sport. After that, it got more exciting because that’s when the adventure begins. This book is not as understandable as it could have been. It also should have been more descriptive so that you could get more images in your head. Some younger kids can’t read this book. It is so long and could be confusing at times to follow. The characters in this book are quite interesting, Harry Potter is interesting because he must face many enemies throughout the book. He uses his knowledge to beat these enemies. Ron and Hermoine are Harry’s best friends and help with fighting rivals. The ending was the best part of the book. The mystery doesn’t unfold until the very end. At the end you finally find out who entered Harry into the tournament. The end was a surprise because it wasn’t who I expected it to be. The events were decent. One example is when one of Harry’s friend dies. The wizard who killed him is the same wizard that killed Harry’s parents. After his friend dies, Harry has to fight alone.
