SPOTS THAT HOLD ONSHORE. North to south: Porto Corsini (Ra), Diga a Marina di Ravenna, Savignano (RN), Rock Island (RN), Porto Varde (RN).
EQUIPMENT. A longboard could be a blessing for summer flat-spells. Fish or allround board for averadge mushy beachbreak. Board with rails for hollow beachbreaks. Need a 3.2 wetsuit from late september but 4.3 or 5.4 with cap, gloves and winter boots are mandatory from november till april.
SKATEPARKS. Marina di Ravenna has one of the best in Italy. Right in the center, 200m from the spot Diga. Street area and nice skate atmosphere. Cervia (Ra) street skatepark not far from local harbour.
FOOD. You must have "Piadina" in this area. Rich bread filled with prosciutto ecc. Tortellini (dumplings) are a must too.

• RICCIONE (RN) - IL PORTO
  Lo spot si trova a circa 150 m sul lato Nord del porto canale di Riccione, di fronte ai bagni 94,95,96. Su fondale sabbioso rompono onde prevalentemente destre che in alcune occasioni possono raggiungere altezza superiore al metro e mezzo. Lavora con swell da S/E ed E. Qualità dell'acqua discreta. Poco affollato.
  150m north of Riccione harbour. Mainly rights on sand bottom. Check with S/E and E.

• MISANO ADRIATICO (RN) - AMBASCIATORI
  Questo beach break si trova in corrispondenza dell'hotel Ambasciatori precisamente davanti allo stabilimento balneare n° 39. E' 2 km più a Nord di Porto Verde e lavora con piccole mareggiate da N/E, E e S/E. E' surfabile quando Porto Verde non rompe più. Poco frequentato.
  2km north of Porto Verde. Beach break in front of Ambasciatori hotel. Check when Porto verde is small on N/E, E and S/E.

• PORTO VERDE (RN) - PORTO VERDE
  Lo spot è situato nella località di Porto Verde a circa 10 Km a Sud di Rimini. Unico spot con fondale di sassi della riviera Romagnola, si trova 200 metri a Sud della piccolissima imboccatura del porticciolo di Porto Verde. Lavora con mareggiate da N/E ed E anche di grosse dimensioni e vento attivo. Onde prevalentemente destre sino a due metri. Qualità dell'acqua mediocre. Abbastanza affollato.
  If you come from the highway, get out at Gabice, south of Rimini, and look for Porto Verde.
  Two waves south and north of the town's boat canal. Sandy bottom rights just north of and stone bottom peaks 200 m. south of canal. Both are enjoiable hot-dog waves giving their best with E and N/E swells. Holds strong N/E. Crowds.

• RIMINI - CLUB
  Lo spot si trova in centro a Rimini, sul lungomare cittadino di fronte al piazzale B. Croce. E' un tipico beach break con onde sino ad 1.5 metri. Lavora con S/E, E e N/E. Abbastanza frequentato, qualità dell'acqua discreta.
  Boring beachbreak scattered along miles of artificial sand beach.

• RIMINI - ROCK ISLAND
  Lo spot si trova sulla parte Sud del portocanale di Rimini. Lavora discretamente con swell da E e S/E con onde non più alte di 1.5 m, meglio con mareggiate di N/E che a volte formano onde sino a 2 metri. Qualità dell'acqua mediocre. Affollato solo nel periodo estivo.
  Sandy bottom jetty south of Rimini's harbour. Decent waves on S and S/E, best with N/E with overhead peaks possible. Rarely crowded.

• RIMINI RIVABELLA (RN) - DEVIATORE
  Lo spot si trova sul lato Nord della foce del fiume Marecchia, circa 500 metri a Nord del portocanale di Rimini. Lavora con mare da N/E ed E e si possono surfare onde sino ad 1.5 metri. Fondale sabbioso, poco affollato, acqua mai particolarmente pulita.
  Rivermouth 500m north from Rimini harbour. Sand bottom. Decent with E and S/E.

• SAVIGNANO MARE (RN) - RUBICONE
  Dalla statale Adriatica, uscire all'altezza dell'Ipermercato Romagna Center dirigendosi poi in direzione del mare. Lo spot è alla foce del fiume Rubicone nelle vicinanze dell'omonimo campeggio. La condizione migliore per surfarlo è con mareggiata da N/E (anche attiva) ed E. Su fondale sabbioso rompono onde, sia destre che sinistre, sino ad 1.5 metri. Qualità dell'acqua mediocre, pessima se vi sono state precipitazioni piovose insistenti. Non molto affollato.
  Get out of route 16 when you a mall called Romagna Center. Rivermouth of the Rubicone, close to Rubicone camping. Holds strong N/E. Poor water quality. No crowds.

• GATTEO A MARE (RN) - GATTEO
  Lo spot si trova alle foci del torrente Pisciatello nella parte Sud di Gatteo a Mare. Onde destre fino a 1,5 m. Lavora preferibilmente con scadute da N/E e E. Poco frequentato. Qualità dell'acqua discreta.
  The spot is the rivermouth of the Pisciatello river on the south side of Gatteo. Works with E and N/E. No wind.

• CESENATICO (FO) - CONGREGA DEI VELISTI
  Lo spot è situato a circa 200 metri a nord del portocanale di Cesenatico. Beach break sabbioso, lavora con swell da N/E, E e S/E sino ad un metro con onde di discreta qualità. Frequentato dai surfisti locali. Qualità dell'acqua discreta.
  Further south on route 16. Spot located 200m north of local harbour. Decent beachbreak with N/E, E and S/E. Decent water quality, does not hold onshore.

• MILANO MARITTIMA (RA) - PORTO
  Spot che lavora solo con piccole scadute da E e S/E. Si trova a Nord dell'uscita del portocanale che divide Cervia da Milano Marittima. Generalmente poco affollato.
• MILANO MARITTIMA (RA) - CANALINO
  Lo spot è situato nel centro dell'abitato di Milano Marittima alla foce di un piccolo canale di scolo delle acque piovane. I due corti moli costruiti a lato della foce del canale, hanno generato una secca sul lato Sud che con piccole swell da N/E, E e S/E genera onde sino a 1,5 m. Qualità dell'acqua discreta. Abbastanza affollato.
  Head south on route 16 from Ravenna toward Rimini. The spot is the mouth of local canal. Mediocre beachbreak north and south of jetty. Favors S/E but breaks also on N/E and E.

• LIDO DI SAVIO (RA) - SAVIO
  Spot posto sul lato Nord della foce del fiume Savio tra gli abitati di Lido di Savio e Lido di Classe. Lavora con scadute da E e S/E. Onde di scarsa qualità. Poco frequentato.

• LIDO DI SAVIO (RA) - GO GO
  Lo spot si trova di fronte allo stabilimento balneare Go Go, all'estremità Nord della località di Lido di Savio. Lavora con scadute da N/E, E e S/E. In corrispondenza di alcuni pennelli di scogli si generano onde prevalentemente destre di buona qualità che possono raggiungere il metro e mezzo di altezza. Fondale sabbioso. Frequentato. Acqua di buona qualità.

• LIDO DI DANTE (RA) - EX PIPPERO
  Lo spot si trova all'estremità Sud dell'abitato di Lido di Dante, dopo il campeggio. Lavora esclusivamente con scadute da N/E, E e S/E. Fondale sabbioso. Poco frequentato. Acqua di buona qualità.

• LIDO DI DANTE (RA) - LIDO DI DANTE
  Lo spot si trova a Nord dell'abitato di Lido di Dante, è un beach break situato proprio nella spiaggia di fronte alla via di ingresso al paese. Lavora esclusivamente con scadute da N/E, E e S/E, insurfabile con mare attivo oltre il metro. Fondale sabbioso e poco frequentato.
  Still heading north along the coast. Averadge beachbreak in this small village. Works with N/E, E and S/E.

• LIDO ADRIANO (RA) - GORILLA
  Lo spot si trova all'estremo Sud della località di Lido Adriano, in prossimità della foce dei Fiumi Uniti. Lavora con piccole mareggiate fino ad 1,5m da N/E, E e S/E. Fondale sabbioso. Qualità dell'acqua pessima. Spot poco frequentato.
  Head north from Marina di Ravenna along the coast. This spot is located 300M after the end of the small town of Lido Adriano close to a dismantled power station. Works with small swells from N/E, E and S/E with shifty peaks. Does not hold onshore wind. Poor water quality. Thieves.

• LIDO ADRIANO (RA) - BABYLON
  Lo spot si trova sulla spiaggia di fronte alla ex discoteca Babylon nell'abitato di Lido Adriano. Lavora con piccole mareggiate da E, N/E o con scadute da S/E. Poco frequentato, fondale sabbioso, ladri.

• PUNTA MARINA (RA) - BAGNO ETTORE
  Il Bagno Ettore si trova dietro la caserma della Guardia Forestale, sul lungomare di Punta Marina. Beach break frequentato esclusivamente nel periodo estivo con piccole mareggiate in scaduta da N/E, E e S/E. Sulla secca che si trova di fronte allo stabilimento balneare si formano onde che raramente superano il metro e mezzo.

• MARINA DI RAVENNA (RA) - DIGA SUD
  Spot speculare a Porto Corsini; lo si raggiunge prendendo il ferry boat che collega Porto Corsini a Marina di Ravenna e proseguendo verso sud lungo la costa per circa 1 Km. A fianco del lungo molo (2.8 Km) del porto di Ravenna si è generata una secca di sabbia che con Swell da E e N/E genera onde sinistre tendenti a riformarsi. Lo spot è praticabile anche con grosse mareggiate e venti attivi da N/E ed E. Lavora anche con scadute da S/E. Qualità dell'acqua discreta. Spot generalmente affollato.
  Get the ferry from Porto Corsini and head south for 1 Km or head east from Ravenna. This jetty is 2.8 km long and offers several banks on it's southern side. This wave is slow and longboarders make the most of the crowd. Holds up to double overhead but is still a big slope with a nice take off and a long slow wall. Most surfed spot in winter. And first place to check on big windy days.

• PORTO CORSINI (RA) - DIGA NORD
  Lo spot si trova nel centro del paese di Porto Corsini, dove sbuca il porto di Ravenna. Su fondale sabbioso rompe un'onda destra alta sino a 2 m tendente a riformarsi, che in condizioni di forte swell da S/E la si può surfare (con un longboard) per circa 200 metri. Lavora anche con swell da E. Qualità dell'acqua discreta. Spot raramente affollato.
  Porto corsini is a village on the north side of the Ravenna huge harbour. Take ferry from Marina di Ravenna to cross the canal. The spot is a long righthander breaking on the north side of the long jetty in the middle of town. This is the place to check when the S/E wind is blowing all the other spots out. Rides longer than 200m. Fully sheltered from S/E winds. Works also with E but mediocre.

• MARINA ROMEA (RA) - LAMONE o CORTO MALTESE
  Dalla statale 309 Romea prendete per Marina Romea e passate il paese verso nord sulla litoranea. Il primo ponte è il Lamone. Sul lato Sud della foce del fiume Lamone e sulle secche che circondano la foce del fiume, rompono onde che a volte raggiungono i 2 m. con predominanza di sinistre. La condizione migliore è swell da S/E e marea alta. Lo spot lavora anche con swell da E e N/E. Qualità dell'acqua discreta. Spot mediamente affollato.
  From Ravenna follow route 309 Romea dir. Venice untill sign. Located north of Marina Romea, this rivermouth has some of the best hot-dog lefts in northern Adriatic. Rideable waves north, middle and south of the two jettys aside of the river. Holds up to 6 Ft. and offers clean fast walls. Works best with S/E swells and favors high tide but is still quite consistent on small N/E and E swells. Expect to find crowds in summer. Good water quality.

• CASAL BORSETTI (RA) - CASELLO
  Seguite la costa verso sud dal lato sud del molo. 100m dopo l'ultimo bagno un setup di frangiflutti e moletto producono ad alta marea una sinistra abbastanza potente. Lavora con N/E ed E anche attivi. Scendi dal lato nord del molo. Forte corrente. Acqua decente.
  Follow south from Local harbour's south side. Pass last beach bar and find a Jetty. Powerfull left breaking from off the pier. Works with N/E and E, holds onshore wind, Decent water. No crowds.

• CASAL BORSETTI(RA) - CHEGUEVARA
  Il Che è l'outer reef di Adria e rompe 150m fuori fino al moletto. Funziona con grosse swell da S/E, ha rotto fino a 2,5m e regge male il vento onshore. Migliore onda della zona quando rompe. Lunga nuotata da di fronte al baretto attraverso il canale della sinistra (corta).
  Nice long righthander sand bar breaking (on big days) 150 m. offshore from the jetty. Holds virtually any size but affectable by onshore winds. Arguably best wave of the area with rippable walls all the way to the jetty. Long safe paddle out from the channel on the (short) left. Needs a strong S/E to fire up.
• CASAL BORSETTI (RA) - ADRIA JETTY
  Casal Borsetti si trova 15 Km a Nord di Ravenna lungo la statale 309 Romea in direzione Venezia. Dal paese seguite la litoranea in direzione Nord fino a raggiungere l il camping Adria e lo Swiss Residence, attraversate la pineta dove vedete adesivi sui cartelli. Ambiente intatto chiuso a nord dal poligono di tiro. Di fianco al moletto si genera una lunga e potente destra che in rare occasioni supera i due metri di altezza. E' surfabile anche con onde di mezzo metro. Lavora al meglio con swell da S/E ma è surfabile anche con E e N/E. Le condizioni migliori si hanno con marea media. Qualità dell'acqua buona. Affollato. Molti furti dalle auto. Portate tutti i valori con voi sulla spiaggia.
  Best costal environment in the area due to secluded army camp 500m North of the spot. From Ravenna follow route 309 Romea directin Venice for 15km.The spot is located on the north side of the small town of Casal Borsetti, in front of the Adria camping: park near the Swiss Residence and walk east through bush to sea. In this spot the coast bends east a bit and allows S/E swells to be more straight and consistent. Fast long righthanders with hollow bowl breaking straight off the jetty. Nice tubes and fast walls according to tide. Works properly on S/E, holds up to 2m. Check it also with N/E and E. Decent water. Bring all your valuables on the beach and hide them in the jetty. Most crowded spot on the East coast. Make friends with the Adria Boys and surf happy.

• PORTO GARIBALDI (FE) - IL MOLO
  Lavora con piccole mareggiate da N/E, E e S/E. Lo spot è situato a Sud dell'uscita del molo di Portogaribaldi all'inizio del paese di Lido degli Estensi. Recentemente la scogliera che protegge l'ingresso del porto è stata allungata. Le onde, sia destre che sinistre, rompono su fondale sabbioso. La qualità dell'acqua è discreta. Poco frequentato.
  South of the arbour's dock. Before Lido fegli Estensi. Mediocre peaks on sand bottom. Works with N/E, S/E and E but does not hold wind. Decent water quality, rarely surfed.
