As promised here's a couple more photo's of the jimmy since i sprayed the black on it. yes it looks like flat black but it's only because i wet sanded it and did'nt buff it out. i'm only going to paint over it anyway.

i think i've finally nailed down the paint scheme for the thing. i'm going with a metallic blue fade and ghost flames on the nose. that's why the plastic side trim is'nt going back on. i think it'll look much better without it

finally got some color on it this is base coat we did the whole thing in the primary color (first photo) then we added silver to it for the bottom of the body and faded that into the primary color.(second photo below here) we'll clearcoat it and then get to work on the ghost flames. there may be another surprise or two with the paint job we have'nt decided we're just doing it as we go along (we changed our minds 4 times before we finished the base coat colors) that may seem crazy, but we're not worried it'll be nice when we're done

Well,as you can see the flames are not "ghost" style. the blue did'nt mix with the purple the way i expected it to so we decided on the 2 tier flames with different shades of purple. we just added silver to the purple to make it 2 different shades. the top tier has pure purple tips and the second tier has pure silver tips. it took 10 hours to tape off and shoot the flames. i have a new found respect for custom paint after that. i never realized how long it would take. this project is finished now so my nova's next i'm still working on a paint scheme for it. it'll make this look easy in comparison. thanks again for looking
