Christmas in the Hood

Twas da night befo' Christmas
& all in the hood,
Not a homie was stirrin'
cuz it was all good.

The tube socks was hung
on da window sill
And we smiles
all up on our grill.

Mookie and Shiquanda
was snug in they crib
In the back bedroom,
cuz dat's how we live.

And mom's in her doo-rag,
and me wit my nine,
had just got busy
cuz my girlie be fine.

All of a sudden
a lowrider rolled by,
Bumpin' phat beats
cuz the system be fly.

I bounced to the window
at a quarter pas'
'Bout ready to buss a cap
on some niggaz azz!

I yelled to ma lady,
Yo Boo peep dis
She said, Stop frontin'
& mind yo bidness.

I said, for real tho,
come check dis out.
We ain't even trippen',
no worries, no doubt.

from round the way

His threads was all leatha,
his chains was all gold.
His sneaks was by Puma
and was 5 years old.

He dropped the duffle,
Clippers logo on da side
Sanat broke out da loot
and my mouf fell open wide.

Wit' a wink of his eye
and a shine of his gold tooth,
He cabbage patched
his way back up on da roof.

He jumped in his Hootie
wit' rims made of chrome,
To go tap dat booty
waitin' fo him at home.

And I heard as he cruised
outta sight,
Was a loud and hearty......
