What to Save from an XR headed to the Junkyard

Consider saving the following parts:
--all switches (power windows, etc.)
--rearview mirror
--coolant recovering tank
--windshield washer fluid reservoir
--TFI, if recent and Motorcraft
--Distributor
--Valve cover, especially if late model
--driver's seat if in good condition, especially if leather
--exhaust system
--lug nuts; maybe wheels; spare tire (Rich Franko is looking for one); jack
--taillight assemblies, headlight assemblies, fog lights, side marker lights
--cargo net
--power antenna, if it works
--gauge cluster, if it works
--any working bulbs fromthe gauge cluster
--clock
--resistor pack
--any salvageable a/c parts
--hood
--bumper, bumper covers
--dash, if not cracked (yeah, right)
--handle that operates the sunroof
--door gaskets/weatherstripping, trunk gaskets
--TPS, EGR valve, exhaust manifold if not cracked, air filter housing
especially the piece that connects the housing to the fender well
--the plastic inner fender linings/splash panels
--cladding (I'd actually like a piece of that to practice painting on)
--the spoiler
--any salvageable glass, especially windshield
--multi-function switch, valuable if the emergency flasher is intact
--light switch
--fans, relays, fuses, fuse box (especially if the fuse box cover is intact)
--sensors
--IAC valve
--the turbo inlet hose
--the thingie that connects the turbo to the throttle body<BR>
--throttle body
--VAM
--alternator
--power steering pump and lines
--steering rack
--differential

Hardly any of these parts (and probably others) would be worth much to the
crusher, but worth a lot to other IMONers. You'll be surprised at what you
can sell. A lot of XRs are worth a LOT more in parts than in running
condition.
