| Our next meet is on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the Wintergreen Plaza on Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD. You have your choice of either Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts for those who prefer coffee options! We'll meet for coffee at 9:30 am, spend an hour or so kicking tires, then drive over to the Rockville Civic Center Park for the annual Rockville Antique Car show (approx 10 minute drive). Entry to the show is free. We attended this show last year and I can guarantee that you will be amazed at the variety and numbers of cars on display, and the setting ain't too bad either. The website advertising the show is at http://www.rockvillemd.gov/events/carshow.htm Rough directions: Coming from VA., 495 to 270 and then Route 28 East to Rockville. Stay on Route 28 through Rockville until it connects with MD 355, Rockville Pike. Continue on the Pike (355) about a half mile to Wintergreen Plaza on the right. From West VA., From Route 270 take the exit to Route 28/Rockville East. Stay on Route 28 through Rockville until it connects with MD 355, Rockville Pike. Continue south on the Pike (355) about a half mile to Wintergreen Plaza on the right. From DC, take Wisconsin Ave. north which becomes MD 355/Rockville Pike. Continue on the Pike, and after the intersection with Edmonston Drive, Wintergreen Plaza on the left. From PG County take 495 west to the exit for MD 355/Rockville and continue to Wintergreen Plaza on the left. |
