Coffee Meet Starbucks
Fair Lakes Mall, Fairfax, VA
02 November 2002
Great turnout and a great day for a coffee meet with seasonably cool temps and blue fall skies.  This was out first time meeting at this Starbucks and it was well suited for the occasion.  We met at 9:00AM and drank coffee inside till about 10:00AM, then proceeded outside to kick tires.

All told we had 9 XRs and 2 Scorpios.  It was Mike Torio's first time out with a recently acquired 89XR that he is planning to set up for autocross. Mike is actually one of the original members and long ago member of IMON but had sold his previous XR and only now is back into MERKURDOM again.  We also had Greg "Hardcore" Larsen make it again all the way from Matrinsburg, WVA and he was going on down to Dave P's after the meet for some required preventative maintenance.   It was also Damien Alexander's first meet in recent times as well.

Ed Lijewski brought his Ford ECC-IV code reader and we read codes on several Merkurs.  From the photos, you can see once the hoods of the cars go up, time stops for Merkur owners!  We stayed in the parking lot till 12:00 noon comparing notes and swaping stories.  All in all, a great day for a meet.
