| HALF BREED RACES |
| There are many half breed races of Faerun that aren't included in any of the currents books; this page is a listing with descriptions of races for your campaign or to play. These races have been built by mixing each race logically together and getting a final result. RAT-ORC: Perhaps the most common mix between the orcs, Rat-orcs are bred with goblins to create a shorter, darker skinned version of orcs. Rat-orcs are far more common than half human orcs since orcs and goblins frequently band together. Rat-orcs are better suited to be rogues than most 'pure' bred orcs and make better fighters than pure bred goblins due to their size. Medium sized humanoid, darkvision 60ft, +2 DEX, -2 CHA, +2 bonus to move silently and ride checks. HOB-ORCS: Hob-orcs are a common breed between orcs and hobgoblins but are rare rarer than human half bred orcs due to the hobgoblin ditask for mix breeding with orcs. Hob-orcs make better scouts than 'pure' bred orcs due to their longer life span and thus less of a wisdom penalty and also more charismatic. Medium sized humanoid, darkvision 60ft, +2 STR, +2 CON, -2 CHA, -2 INT, +2 bonus to move silently. HOBLINS: A common mix between hobgoblin and goblins due to the genetic compatability between sister species. Hoblins are bigger than goblins, thus making better fighters but just as fast as hobgoblins and also having a faster gestation rate than hobgoblins normally due. Medium sized humaniod, darkvision 60ft, +2 DEX, +2 move silently checks. HALF-HOBGOBLINS: A mix between humans and hobgoblins is rare but occasional when hobgoblin males capture human females and rape them. Like half-orcs they are generally accepted in human society. Half-hobgoblins born in hobgoblin society are considered slow moving and usually picked on by the clan. In human societies they lack the intuitive nature with skills as humans and the bonus feat but gain an edge as superior athletes who can see in the dark. Medium sized humaniod, darkvision 60ft, +2 CON, +2 move silently checks. HALF-GOBLINS: A mix between humans and goblins are very rare due to size difference but does happen when goblin men capture human females. Half-goblins usually assume leadership in goblin clans for being bigger than normal goblins, thus making better fighters if albeit noisier and less apt for riding. In human societies half-goblins are seen as short ugly underlings, usually rogues and untrusted for the most part. Medium sized humaniod, darkvision 60ft, +2 DEX, -2 CHA. BUG-ORCS: Bug-Orcs are an uncommon crossbreed between Bug-bears and Orcs. Considered a superior bred of Orc by Orcs but in inferior bred of Bug-bear by Bugbears. Medium sized humaniod, darkvision 60ft, +4 STR, -2 INT, -2 CHA, +2 CON, +2d8 HD, +1 bonus to natural armor, +2 bonus to move silently checks, AB +1, REF bonus +1, LA +1 HOBUGLINS: A racial mix between hobgoblins and bugbears is quite uncommon since the two species often live in the same area together. Often considered a superior bred by hobgoblins who willing intice their larger cousin to mate with their females but considered physically weak by bug-bears. Medium sized humanoid, darkvision 60ft, +2 STR, +2 CON, +2 DEX, -2 CHA, +2d8 HD, +1 bonus to natural armor, +3 bonus to move silently checks, AB +1, REF bonus +1, LA +1. BUGLINS: A rare bred of goblins and Bugbears due to the size difference. Considered quite strong and powerful by goblins but weaklings to Bugbears. Buglins have unusually short life spans, living only twenty five years or so. Medium sized humanoid, darkvision 60ft, +2 STR, DEX +2, -2 CHA, +3 bonus to move silently checks, +2 bonus to ride checks HALF-BUGBEAR: A rare human cross breeding of bugbears, usually when human women are kept hostage by Bugbears. Half-bugbears are often exiled from both societies, often thought of as huge looking half-orcs. Medium sized humanoid, darkvision 60ft, +2 STR, CON +2, -2 CHA, +2d8 HD, AB +1, +1 bonus to natural armor, +1 bonus to move silently checks, REF bonus +1, LA +1. HALF-OGRE: Half-Ogres are huge brutes created from human and ogres, most of which were due to human females being ogre captives. Ogres tend to push the smaller half-ogre around but the half-ogres higher intellegence also gives them an advantage. Large sized giant, darkvision 60ft, HD 2d8, +6 STR, -2 DEX, +2 CON, -2 INT, -2 CHA, +4 bonus to natural armor, +2 LA. HALF-OGRE MAGE: A rare crossbreed is most often due to a paring between an evil wizardress who seeks a loyal, magical and monstrous offspring but occasionally if an ogre mage chooses to take a human mate, but this rare since most ogre mage won't even breed with regular ogres for 'purity' principles. HALF-OGRE MAGE: Large sized giant, darkvision 60ft, HD 2d8, +6 STR, +2 CON, +2 INT, +2 WIS, +4 CHA, +4 bonus to natural armor, regeneration 2, SR 10, at will: darkness - flight, once per day: charm person (DC 12), gaseous form and sleep (DC 12), +4 LA. |
