20?02/03:
Well Nova Wreck # 5 FINALLY came out on Sat 8th Feb with a gig at the Front Page. Kind enough to come and play were Torgas Valley Reds, Coldspoon Conspiracy, Doctor K and Yakuza so thanks to all of them. It was a great night and I managed to offload most of the initial run of the zine. I will get more pressed up as I get the time/money so if you want a copy drop me an e-mail. Yakuza have a bunch of gigs coming up including a gig with Large Mound, some shows with Codex, a couple of gigs on the Things You're Missing Tour and a gig with Gold Blade in Dublin, hopefully. So here's what's confirmed:

Sat 1st March, The Nucleus, Derry (night time gig)
Fri 7th March, Giros, Belfast, Invasion Earth night w/ Large Mound.

More as they are confirmed...

Oh, we played a gig in Omagh on Sat 15th Feb which was a lot of fun, so thanks to everyone there...

Releases: Front Page Vol. 1 is a compilation of bands who played the notorious Donegal St dive over the past few years including: The Dangerfields, Rodan, The Evangelists, Aurel, Element and "Everyone Thinks I'm A Dinosaur" (still!) by us. Also the MTS split has been repressed on RED vinyl so you'd better get out there and buy it again so you can make a bomb off it at records fairs in 20 years time...

Some other gigs:

Enon @ The Empire, Belfast, March 13th.
Mogwai @ The Village, Dublin, April 11th.
Beck @ The Ambassador, Dublin, May 1st + 2nd.
Yo La Tengo @ The Ambassador, Dublin, April 5th.

Why are any of these wusses comin' to Belfast...??? Enon are hard!

Happy New Year! I'm back! Been around the world and I...I...can't believe that I'm back in this freezing sold stinkin' cesspit of a country. Wait prehaps that's a littel harsh, fuck no it isn't...bah, anyway back I am. Had an amazing time rocking all over the world like Status Quo, probably have some photos and wrtitings up soon but in a nutshell, I spent 6 weeks in New York after which Sheila came over and we went west to Chicago, Seattle where we stayed with the fantastic Dave, Lisa and Stan before heading south to San Francisco and LA before flying to Fiji, New Zealand, Austrailia and Syngapore. Phew! Anyway got back into the swing of rock things with a gig at Bandjax at Auntie Annies with The Evangelists, Zerotonin, Inside and at the Front Page with The Dangerfields, Dirty Stevie, No Less My Life and others which were both a lot of fun. A few more dates lined up are:

Fri 10th Jan @ Giro's, Belfast w/ The Killing Spree, Iden Green/****, Tracer AMC.
A Blast!
Sat 25th Jan @ The Firestone, Dublin w/ Blind Eye View, The Holy Ghost Fathers.
Wed 12th Feb @ The Front Page, Belfast w/The Evangelists, Aureul (Best Cellard Compilation Launch)

Meanwhile "Everyone Thinks I'm A Dinosaur" was included on the first release on Bubblegun Records, "The Bubblegun Collection" alongside tracks form Cat On Form from Brighton and Major Major from Edinburgh. Buy it
here.

We have sold out of copies of the split 7" but you can still buy it here, here or here.

Some gigs not by Yakuza thaat will still be good:

Kool Keith @ The Limelight, Belfast, January 19th.

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion @ The Tivioli, Dublin, January 19th.

Issue 5 out soon tooooo...

Cheers, Jamesy.
