25.04.2002 Panthers Sign Cadotte
Speedy winger Mark Cadotte is joining the Nottingham Panthers for season 2002-3. The former Bracknell Bee formed a lethal partnership in the East Coast hockey league alongside Panthers' Lee Jinman when the pair were together at Akansas Riverblades.

Coach Paul Adey is delighted the 25 year old is joining the Panthers. "Mark is an exciting player who always seems to be a threat. He scored points in three of the four regular games between us and the Bees at the Nottingham Ice Arena last season, he was a handful and he was hard to shut down. "He could well end up on a line alongside Lee again but we will have a good look at all the possibilities," said Adey.

Cadotte had a prolific start to last season with the Bees and ended up with 18 goals. It is still early days as the management puts together their team building plans but everyone hopes the signings so far show the fans their commitment towards winning.

More negotiations are continuing and other signing news may not be too far away but Adey is diligently checking out potential signings and the club will not comment on speculation, rumour and guesswork.

23.04.2002 Panthers to Announce Signing
Following the disappointment of losing Patrik Wallenberg, the Panthers are set to announce a new signing later this week. Moran added: "The supporters will clearly be disappointed not to have Patrik back but I think they will be very pleased with who we have lined up."

There is currently lots of rumours about on who the new signing might be, the mostly likely being either the return of Clayton Norris or the signing of Mark Cadotte from the Bracknell Bees.

Despite losing Patrik Wallenberg for the upcoming season, there is still hope that Patrik Wallenberg will be back in a Panthers uniform the season after. Wallenberg has joined Timra IK in his home country to be nearer his girlfriend. But has told Panthers general manager Gary Moran to keep a place open for him the following season when his girlfriend finishes university.

22.04.2002 Panthers Lose Wallenberg

11.04.2002 Adey & Jinman to Return!
Nottingham Panthers are pleased to announce the return of coach Paul Adey and star forward Lee Jinman for season 2002-2003.

Lee Jinman was an exciting addition to the squad during the last campaign and played a big part in the clubs improved performances on the ice, while coach Paul Adey showed the hard work and dedication that will be vital to the clubs ambitions for success.

Neil Black, Panthers' owner said. Were very pleased the management has pulled off this double coup. Lee was a fans favourite for obvious reasons but he has told us he aims to do even better next season and that is something we are all looking forward to seeing. Paul Adey had a sound rookie season behind the bench and we gave him the chance to work in sole charge of coaching affairs for the last three games of the play-offs when we were unbeaten and proved to be the only team to take a point off Ayr.

Added Panthers Manager Gary Moran. "Paul worked very hard throughout last season and has learned a lot in his first year behind the bench, it would be a shame to waste the experience he has gained and it would be wrong to let another club gain the advantage of it."

He was still under contract when last season finished and has been working diligently on the recruitment front, so, far from being in limbo no-one is going to notice the join. As for Lee Jinman the fans fell in love with his stickhandling skills and his speed of foot. We did not want to see Lee lining up against us and several other Superleague teams are going to be bitterly disappointed but thats their loss and our gain.
