I hope you like both of these new recordings.!
I can't thank the following people enough for sharing their talents: Andy Stoker and his tremendous sax solo's; recorder virtuoso's Ben Harper and Tyler Maier; comedian Dan Harper (and Carl too); and wonderful singers Joy Bergfalk, Sara Terry, and Mike (Chris Prime's friend -didn't catch the last name). I'd especially like to thank Bill Noel who had to suffer PAINFULLY through me screwing up the guitar accompaniment to the song he had worked so hard on! (I hope you're still speaking to me, Bill).
Certainly a highlight for me was the support of my new bandmates, Frank and Laurie Sanseri, and Chris Prime. Frank, Laurie, and Chris happily agreed to join me on stage for several songs and were warmly embraced by the audience. They even learned the refrain to "Freeman's Farm" at the last minute before the show started. Of course they sang it like they've been singing it for years! It was a great night of food, fellowship, laughs and harmony!
ps: I think people liked my new songs too :)

March 1, 2004. The UNESCO-endorsed New Songs for Peace project has recently notified me that one of my songs will be published in their upcoming song book. The book, as the project title suggests, will be a collection of new peace songs and is intended to encourage people to think and talk about peace. Freeman's Farm will be featured with more than one hundred other new songs in the book. I shant get rich from the publishing deal, but I will get exposure as a songwriter, and more importantly - I'll be contributing to a good cause.

The second recording is the traditional song called The Parting Glass. This song was well known in both Ireland and Scotland, appearing as early as the 1600s in period literature. Today it's often sung as the last song of the evening by celtic groups around the world. I'm planning to use this cut as the last one on the new CD.
March 30, 2004 I've recently finished recording a couple of tunes that I'm considering using on my upcoming CD. The first one is a re-recording of Wayward Son of Mine. Fellow Song Ramp artist Anne Cozean writes, "don't know that many could pull off such a sparse offering as you've successfully done here. Your voice and the message it sings is truly a pleasure. Beautiful job." Another Song Ramp artist, Randy Showalter says, "Wayward Son is a wonderful song that should be published, recorded and distributed to the masses."
March 21, 2004. An intimate setting and a delicious array of fine deserts provided the backdrop to an evening of entertainment at the First Presbyterian Church in Brockport, New York last night (Saturday, March 20th). It was a honor for me to host the event and to be able to sing some of the songs that I plan to include on my upcoming second album. More so it was a pleasure for me to welcome on stage a true variety other talented performers to make the evening more special.
