Through Those Eyes

He waddles through the town like theres no one there to see him
In his faded purple shirt and red sweat pants
Youve seen him round for years, and youd never want to be him
He hardly rates a passing second glance

He could be thirty-five or he could be close to fifty
His tired eyes only say hes been around
If you ever tried to ask, hed stare back at you blankly
He can speak, but he rarely ever makes a sound

Do you wonder what its like in his world
Do you wonder what he sees through those eyes
When you look out and see a steady downpour
Does he look out and see a lost sunrise
Through those eyes

She hears the voices clear, so they call her schizophrenic
cause she cannot tell whats real and whats a lie
Her head is sometimes filled with fear and lonesome panic
You can only guess what passing through her mind

If she looks to you and says, Do you think Im crazy?
What can you say to help the moment pass?
We all see things in different shades of hazy.
Its just that some find living easier to grasp
Easier to grasp

Do you wonder what its like in her world
Do you wonder what she sees through those eyes
When you look out and see a steady downpour
Does she look out and see a lost sunrise
