Wouldn't It Be Cool

For a while I've been posting these rambling daydreams on my SongRamp page beginning with the words, "wouldn't it be cool if". For example:
"Wouldn't it be cool if my wife was having a tupperware party at our house and I was upstairs playing guitar with the dog howling next to me and one of the ladies said, "that's an interesting noise, like let me call my nephew Aaron who's filming a movie about werewolves", and Aaron said, "like have Dave and his dog record a song and we'll put the song in the movie", and then they decided to put me and my dog in the movie TOO and before you knew it we both were up for Oscars?"

Well, one day a friend of mine from SongRamp wrote to me, "wouldn't it be cool if you wrote a song called, 'Wouldn't It Be Cool'! So I did, and here are the lyrics.

Wouldnt it be cool
If in my sleepy little town
A roadie for James Taylor
Stopped to look around

Wouldnt be cool
If it turned out that same day
That he walked into the coffee shop
And happened to hear me play

Wouldnt be cool
If his toes tapped to my beat
And after I was finished
He said, Theres someone you should meet

Wouldnt it be cool
If half an hour away
James Taylor and his touring bus
Was stopping for the day

Wouldnt be cool
If we pulled up in my car
And his roadie popped the trunk lid
And pulled out my guitar

Wouldnt it be cool
If we all sat down to jam
And our harmonies fit perfectly
Like honey on a ham

And wouldnt it be cool
If James said, Call me Jim
And he asked if Id be willing
To sing on stage with him

Harmonica Break

Wouldnt it be cool
If I called up work next day
And told them I was quitting
Just send me my back pay

Wouldnt it be cool
If in my sleepy little town
A roadie for James Taylor
Stopped to look around
