I used to have this dream where I'm flying above the trees. I still have it from time to time. It's a dream that feels so real sometimes that I swear I can feel the air on my face as I glide above the rooftops! I had this tune going through my head back in '03 and one morning the lyrics below just came out in a rush. This has been one of my more popular songs. The day I wrote it, I recorded and posted it on dmusic.com and quickly rose to the number one spot site-wide. Considering that of the top 20 songs at least 15 are usually "hip hop", that was pretty darn cool! "Come Fly Away With Me" had a good long run in the Top 20 and was played over 18,000 times - which I'm still trying to comprehend.
Even cooler than being number uno was the opportunity to sing the song at a wedding, which I did in 2004!
