What is the GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL SONG OF ALL TIME?  I know, I know.  Could I have possibly come up with a broader topic?  (Actually, yes, if you check out my other polls.)  Well, let me tell you the selection process was difficult.  First, I chose the rock and roll subgroupings from which I would choose.  Anything falling into classic rock, heavy metal, gothic, rockabilly... stuff like that.  No pop, though (sorry, Beatles fans).  While there are a lot of fine pop songs, they don't quite fit the catagory.  Next, I chose to only include songs by their original artists, as opposed to covers or techno remixes.  (Hell, I like techno as much as the next guy, but let's be honest.  You've heard one, you've heard them all.)  Also, you'll notice that I only chose ONE SONG PER ARTIST.  It's only fair, in my opinion.  Now, you may ask why I even bothered to select options -- why not just have write-in answers? p; Good question.  I didn't go with the write-in options for three main reasons.  First of all, I don't want one song to have its total number of votes divided up between two or more groups of people who chose the same song but used slightly different incorrect spellings.  Second, to keep people from writing in smart-ass answers.  And third, it's my web poll, and I didn't wanna!  I mean, half the fun of creating a web-poll is deciding what the options are going to be.  That being said, the final decision is in your hands to choose the greatest rock and roll song of all time!  (Oh, and one more thing.  I know that some of you have technical tricks to make your vote count several thousand times.  I ask you to please be considerate and not ruin it for everyone else.)
