Chapel of Our Lady of Refuge

This chapel was origionally a house of charitable work, founded by Hendrik Suderman, a rich merchant from Dortmunt. There is no sure date for when it was built.  After the French occupation this chapel belonged to the commision of civilian houses of charity. Part of this chapel was demolished in 1887  and then came under the authority of  "The church of Our Lady".It was redecorated at the end of the 19th century in classic Baroque style. This chapel has a very pleasant atmosphere, there are candles lit constantly and flowers left on the altar. This church can only be visited for prayer!
