Chapter History
Though faced with many obstacles, four women on Cornell University's campus set out to make their dream become a reality. Dawn Brawley, Yadira Perez, Dorothy Rivera and Marcy Lopez all saw the need to bring an organization whose goals and aspirations were those of service to the community, leadership and equality for all women. They saw this and much more in Omega Phi Beta and on May 28th, 1999 created history, becoming the first Ivy League Chapter within the sorority. In the end, the hardships were welcomed because they learned that with perseverance, knowledge, valiance and heart anything is possible and nothing would stand in their way.
