| My Gear - Behringer 8024 Equalizer Behringer V-Amp Pro (x2) Behringer Midi Foot Controller Roland KC-350 Amp JBL JRX118 SP Subwoofer Rickenbacker 4003 Bass Sam Ash El-Cheapo Bass I designed this unusual setup for flexibility. I have two effects processors - one for each pickup. The midi foot pedal controls the two processors PLUS any other midi devices I use in the future. I hope to add a drum module to my rack - which will be controlled by the foot pedal. Each processor has stereo outputs (a total of 4) so I needed an amp that has a lot of inputs. The Roland KC-350 has plenty of stereo inputs. |

| It also has a subwoofer output (which drives the self-powered 18" sub) and a line output - which can be used for the FOH mix. The combination of the Roland and JBL amps/speakers gives me a nice full range system with plenty of bottom end. The stack has a very small footprint - which is handy for really cramped venues. I can EQ the system to any room using the 8024 equalizer and a calibrated mic. The EQ is used to keep the system response flat, since the processors can simulate most of the popular amp/speaker rigs. I use the Sam Ash bass for experimentation. I'm currently rewiring the electronics to provide a stereo output like the Rickenbacker. One thing I like about that bass is the two-octave fretboard. |
