| 2-07-02: Phwhiigh? Not Lenny has come to a consensus (the consensus involving Nick and I complaining) that the vast majority of the population at Pioneer High School sucks. However, we will still be playing their damn Senior Breakfast. I'll put the date up in the shows section eventually. There might be a few lyrical suprises in store for those who show their distaste for us and 5606, but only time will tell...... Anyway, we're still working modrately hard at booking some shows, but one must not forget to take our inherent laziness into account. | 2-11-02: HAAAALLLLELUJA!!! Not Lenny is playing at the Battle of the Bands thingy at INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL at 7PM on FRIDAY, MARCH 1ST. Thank you Chrisitian (thats adrians brother) for hooking us up with this Ohmygod. This is big cuz its like the first show weve ever played at thats really a show with other bands and people that don't know us. So, this is really important that the very few and ever so cherished of you who know us please come and support us there. And we specifically need y'all on the jump on Infatuation...so, if you dont know the song, download it off our site (be sure to follow the instructions; people have been having problems when they didn't), and PLEASE listen to it. If you don't wanna download it, talk to anyone in the band and I will be happy to make you a demo with that and some other songs we'll be playing. Its at the chorous ('im stuck on you, i love your innocense and your <JUMP> mind..') it does it twice at each chorous but you'll be able to figure it out. Anyway, feel free to burn millions of copies of the song and spread it to anyone that might be interested, we need all the help we can get. Oh and one thing I forgot to mention, you need tickets to go to this Band Battle thing, so talk to me or matt or any of us and and we'll be able to give you one. | 3-02-02: Thanks to everyone who came to support us at the Battle of the Bands!!! You guys are the shit, we cannot thank you enough!! It was awesome (even though damn hidden pocket won, boo-hoo). But this was our first real show, and all of the jumping and the singing along was so surprising and even more awesome! We had a ton of fun thanks to yall, and we hope you did too. We played David's Song, Worse Than Most Thongs, IHWP2, and Infatuation (the singing along to that was so great). And of course, Frank took a badass solo on P2,which was badass. But anyway, it was an awesome show,we hope you all liked it and we want to play for you a lot in the future, so we now must face the task of getting shows ANYWHERE very soon.... ~OG's and Not Lenny |
| 4-15-02: Happy tax day! Well it seems like Not lenny goes through band members like candy. For those of you dont dont know, one of the 3 OG's, our drummer the Mexican de Corte de Rosa has shit out on us. He decided he was wasting all of his time doing...well not much of anything...with Not Lenny. Sound odd? Well it was kinda odd. So if theres anyone who might have been looking forward to seeing us on sunday, thats why we werent there. Adrian quit a week before, leaving us a few mere days to try and teach some new guy our songs. Yeah not gonna happen, we like to think we're too complex for that. But we're not dead. Well not any more than our lazy asses were before anyway. God bless fall-n-up for hooking us up with a potential new guy. I guess i shouldnt mention names in case it doesnt work out. But anyway, for all of adrians friends who are giving us shit, please stop. I dont quite get it, from what I understand hes not telling anyone to do it, so grow up and knock it off. You're college kids, one would think you have better things to do. Thanks for all you people who still appreciate us for our good music (which matt and I are still taking care of), and who will continue to support us. | 2-16-03: Happy New Year, everyone! Yes, it is indeed a month and a half after New Years, but I'm just getting over my hangover now... ahh, just joshin' ya! I kid because I love. Well, I was recently inspired by a ska show, so we might get off our asses and start practicing with an all-new lineup. I passed out a bunch of demos, so maybe the prospect of a gig will light a perverbial fire under our perverbial asses. I added some lyrics and I will probably add more soon for some new songs. Oh yeah.. check out our "emo side project" on the links page. I'm not really emo right now (it comes in phases), but the next time some broad angers me, expect to see updates on that page.
