Chapter Fourteen
Get Out of the Way Buearlo!
"You will all face Sinister's forces with bravery, courage, and strength. Without these, you will not be able to recieve victory! Leave your mercy behind you and with your families. You should not look to recieve any from the enemies you are about to face!" A loud, strict voice called out about the thousands of armored bodies below. Some of the thousands that stood there, shook their speers up and down or twirled their swords for practice. Their nerves were increasing.
Aiden stood among them near the king. His sword was sheathed but he had his dagger withdrawn and he was staring at it.
He was feeling very nervous for the battle was about to begin. Although, since he knew that the only creatures of this realm that would fight this war to save the kingdom, was the army gathered around him. If they lost the battle, the war would also be lost.
Perhaps it wasn't just his nerves that caused his mind to stray a bit. He was feeling very guilty about making Crystal leave.
"We must leave everything on the battlefield. Whatever anxious feeling, anger, hatred, use it against them!" the voice continued to ring out.
Aiden knew that he must find Crystal before something happens to her. He sheathed his dagger and made his way through the armored bodies.
"Hey!" one voice screamed at him as he pushed through.
"Where are you going?" another screamed.
He kept running until he was stopped abruptly by a tall bearded man. The man looked down and scowled at him.
"Where the hell are you going, elf boy?" the man asked. The same scwol appeared on his face that Aiden had seen a thousand times before.
This time, Aiden did not care! He needed to find Crystal!
"Get out of my way, Buearlo!" Aiden said as he tried to go around the tall bearded man.
"Why should I?" the man said in the same bullying tone.
Perhaps it was all the stress of the situation or perhaps it was the fact that he was pressed for time. Regardless of the reason, he said, "Listen Buearlo! If you do not step aside this instant then I will first rip out your left eye then your right. I will next rip one arm out of its socket and slice off one leg. I will cut of one ear and cut half of your hair off. I will cut out one kidney and one lung. I will leave no pair of body parts, paired including-"
Beaurlo gulped and looked down.
"Precisely! I am so glad that you actually have a brain to cut in half!"
"You are bluffing? How would you get me to stay in one spot and let you disassemble my body?"
"Very simply," Aiden said. He whispered a short, blunt, sentence that was too inaudible and Buearlo could not understand it. Just as quickly as Aiden said it, Buearlo began to glow a soft white color and he began to freeze up.
Now, paralized, he couldn't stop Aiden from going around him. Aiden quickly ran around him and as soon as Aiden reached the other side of him, Buearlo began to move, his eyes widened.
"W-wh-ere do you need to go to soo q-qu-uickly?" the shocked, Buearlo asked.
"I need to find the love of my life before she gets kidnapped and/or raped, tortured or killed by something!" Aidean said.
A bolt of lightning struck a tree beside them and the tree snapped, cracked, and fell right on the side of them. Roars and hollers sounded through the valley. The battle commenced.
Buearlo turned to Aiden who gave a look of concern. Straightening himself up and half smiling, Buearlo assured, "I will cover for you while you find your pretty lass. Hurry, though! The king knows you better than I and he will start questioning your disappearance!"
With nothing more than a smile, Aiden left to find his love.
