CAESAR

Julius Caesar is a sweeping miniseries based on the life of the celebrated Roman statesman. This four hour event production, budgeted at $23 million, focuses on the career of the brilliant and controversial general, orator, and writer.

The production boasts an all-star cast with Jeremy Sisto in the title role, and includes Christopher Walken, Christopher Noth, Richard Harris, and Valeria Golino. Uli Edel (Mists of Avalon) directs.

Filming took place on extraordinary locations including Malta and Bulgaria. Production design equals or betters Five Mile River Films' previous award winning set designs.

The miniseries is a co-production of Five Mile River Films, TNT, The DeAngelis Group and Victory Media Group.

TNT plans to conquer with a marquee cast dressed in period garb for its miniseries Julius Caesar.

Set to begin production this calendar quarter and air sometime next season, the $20 million extravaganza has cast Christopher Walken as Cato, Chris Noth as Pompey the Great and Richard Harris as Sulla, according to Caesar's executive producer, Lorenzo Minoli, of Five Mile River Films. Previously announced to play the title role is Jeremy Sisto, who has a recurring role in HBO's Six Feet Under and who starred in the hit 2000 CBS miniseries Jesus, also produced by Five Mile River Films.
