GUNDAM WING FANFIC DATA UNIT IN QUESTION: Lieutenant Thomas Walker, OZ R&D Operative @Phantom Scorpio , leader of the Scorpions Real GW Status: Killed in Battle with Gundam SandRock and Gundam HeavyArms at Episode 3. What I did: : I'm taking off. Walker, get back here! : But this Gundam! :Forget the Gundam. Do you trust me? : Whatever you say, Lieutenant!(escapes) Background: And then there were three. Zechs Marquise, Lucerezia Noin and Thomas Walker. The top three graduates from the Lake Victoria Academy (in that order), this trio of close friends are OZ's best , each specializing in his/her fields. Walker, a firm believer in honorable combat, joined the R&D core at Baikonur Base in Kazakhstan while Noin and Zechs went their separate ways for a year. They are reunited by Walker's discovery of Tallgeese, which reignites Walker's passion for designing mecha. Although he wears a mask like his mentor Zechs, he wantonly removes it; to him it's only a status symbol,something to be worn in battle. His successful inventions include the Cancer, Torus, Aries and Scorpio mobile suits, the latter of which he owns a custom made version. Walker, in a Scorpio trial, encounters Chang Wufei in Shenlong Gundam, and the two fight. Asking Chang his name, Chang simply replies "Nataku". The two fight to a standstill, and he gains Wufei's respect. From now on Wufei calls him Scorpio. The two meet again at Victoria base, where Chang is soundly beaten by Walker,only to unleash an extra bomb in the Torus plane, exploding it.In the ensuing chaos, Chang escapes. Walker is deeply distressed. Even when finishing top in hand to hand and insertion at Academy and beating Wufei, he still lost the real fight. While Noin decides to join Zechs, Walker (whose suicide fall off Scorpio is stopped by a timely grab by Zechs) decides to return to Baikonur to build new,more powerful suits. Zechs reminds him that real soldiers do not rely on equipment. Walker simply tells Zechs:- "Soldiers do not lose twice and live, unless they're cowards.Is that what you are calling me, Marquise?" Zechs has no answer. He knows the only reason he and Noin finished above Walker was that Walker would never give up, no matter what in any situation. His respect for Zechs and Noin also had a part in it. However, two events change Walker's outlook on OZ life. The coup de'tat by OZ, and the assasination of Dorian made Walker think twice about his loyalty to OZ. Although Zechs and Noin command his respect, Trieze and Lady Une do not. While his staff at Baikonur is totally loyal to him and the Alliance, Walker thinks of what his new suits will do to Earth. He is disgusted. If the new stealth model Phantom Scorpio and prototype carriers Aquarius and Pisces fell into Trieze's hands, OZ would eventually use them against more innocents... Walker is in two minds. That changes when OZ launch an attack on nearby Almaty Base (a civilian outpost). The Federation Leos are no match for the Aries suits, plus the threat of OZ insiders makes the battle a losing one. Baikonur's forces scramble, with Phantom Scorpio leading the way. Walker is shocked when he sees Noin's face on an intercepted data transmission. One of his best friends, attacking civilians? He cannot..beleive it. The Baikonur forces confuse the OZ forces with OZ signals. The heavy duty Cancers, aided by new laser arrays ,decimate the Aries forces. When Noin demands to know what is happenning, Walker puts on another mask (His new Phantom helmet) and warns Noin not to attack any more bases.Noin is surprised, but dimisses it as idle threats. Back at base, the Aquarius and Pisces are ready for launch. Their stealth systems, however are unable to operate, as water condenses onto the light refracting material, leaving them in the open. During the OZ attack on Nairobi, Walker receives an urgent SOS from Federation soldiers, who are promptly eliminated by Noin. That is the last straw. Loading the population of Baikonur onto the two ships (about three hundred people or so), Walker and his people cannibalize the base, leaving it to burn. Walker then calls Noin... : Hey, Missy, it's me! :You again? Hey, who are you? A Gundam pilot? Show yourself! :Muahahaha! I'm not even in Africa! I'm at...Baikonur bassssse....(shows burning base) :Baikonur?? Walker!? Are you there?? : THIS Walker?? (holds old mask in his hand and crushes it) He fought well...but not well enough, woman! (simulating Chang) :You...you monster! after what you did at Victoria... :Look who's talking. Little miss Tough gal with a big gun. Remember this, OZ! The Scorpions have struck! Walker is dead! I KILLED WALKER! --out-- : "The Scorpions", boss? Sounds kinda corny... :Ho,hum. It just sounds cool.(shrugs) : Boss, where're we headed? No colony would probably take us in! :We've loaded terraforming equipment and artificial soils. We're going Lunar! I'm not just a killer mobile suit designer, you know. This was my ambition from the start. To rebuild the moon.. The Aquarius and Pisces ships make it to the far side of the moon, where dozens of crashed 'G' Gundam era colonies exist. Scorpio remembers that with the new Side colonies, the G Gundam -era colonies were deemed redunadant. The Scorpions lay low for a few months, rebuliding Neo Japan (their landing site) and restarting human life. Phantom Scorpio, however, crashlands on the moon, severing its left arm. Scorpio is frustrated, seeing as his one of a kind suit was built from Gundanium, a very rare space material. The Scorpions are still adjusting to new life on the Moon, so one broken robot arm does not require priority. Scorpio wanders on the Moon (Phantom Scorpio is airtight, too) and comes across a robot arm. Analysis reveals a shocking truth:- the arm belongs to God Gundam! Scorpio is also intrigued by the files inside, which include data on the Shining and God fingers. He spends his time reading the Tohou Fuhai philosophies. After the Gundam Fight tournament it seemed, Domon Kashu shut down God Gundam, entombing it in stone. Deciding that "the cry for help is so strong as to tear heaven apart", Scorpio decides to raid Earth, using Aquarius (Hovering above Earth's atmosphere) to steal more Gundanium and cripple the OZ forces, as well as steal more equipment to develop Neo Japan, now known as "Scorpion base". His exploits are noted by the media, who label him as 'The God of Death', much to Duo Maxwell's chagrin. Maxwell, the so-called "Gundam God of Death (and Jonah)" is chastised by his fellow Gundam pilots for going solo, but Heero and the others know that Duo is more of a team player than not.... On one particular raid, Scorpio is forced to leave Phantom ,cockpit open, in the Rub-al-Khali desert, which is incidentally near to Quattre's secret Maganac base. The mission required him to unlock some tachyon fields (which render stealth fields inoperable)at an OZ facility, hence leaving Phantom Scorpio behind. The attack is sucessful, but Gundams Sandrock and Heavyarms also sense it. The pursuing OZ forces, which number around 100 assorted suits, head for the fleeing Scorpio. The Gundams notice the abandoned Phantom Scorpio, and are perplexed by its design. Not OZ, not colony. Scorpio runs right into them, with the OZ forces close behind. The Aquarius hovers at its high orbit, preparing for pickup. The Gundams are caught unawares, and are forced to slug it out with the OZ suits. :Where did all these guys come from?? : I had no idea they could have found us here! Winner! : Oh no...look, they're chasing someone! (focuses on Scorpio) :He's headed for that MS... : Jump! Yikes!Hey, stupid Gundam! Over here! :Who's HE calling stupid? Take this! (Fires DeathClaw) : Missed! Now to make my exit. Scorpio jumps into Phantom, and it boosts up high into the sky. Three Scorpion flyers, carrying stolen weapons fly next to him. Trowa however,once again runs out of ammunition. Scorpio notices , and cuts a space laser from the Scorpions line. Quattre picks it up and destroys the remainder of Trowa's attackers. He looks up, wondering why Phantom did that. Phantom swings round, and bombards the other OZ units. He kicks and slashes his way to Chang. : Dear Nataku, I suppose you've forgotten me, now? :Scorpio?? I thought you were OZ! : Hmph, Nataku. Don't insult me now. They don't fight with honor like we do. : Eliminate..all..obstacles..(Fires Buster Gun) Scorpio blocks it with his God Gundam arm, which miraculously survived the blast. He is amazed when he fires a return blast at Wing, which narrowly escapes. Scorpio remembers that Domon Kashu had filled it with spiritual energy before defeating Devil Gundam long ago, but this....Rachid and the other Maganacs arrive, but when Quattre and the others look round, Scorpio has boarded Aquarius and is now headed to the Moon. His parting message is to Duo. "You who should call yourself Death! You better live up to it!" As the Gundams continue their battles with OZ, the struggle spreads to the Winner Industrial Colony. As the Winner family is destroyed, Quattre is captured. Scorpio, on a mission to steal Winner Industries' rumored new Gundam, codename 'Wing Zero' comes into contact with Rashid and Abu, who reluctatly ask for his assistance to help rescue Quattre. Scorpio accepts on one condition, he gets to keep Wing Zero. Scorpio valiantly leads the Maganacs to victory, but a saddenned Quattre takes control of Wing Zero, and boosts towards another colony mumbling something about a plan to destroy them all. Rashid is left in charge, while Scorpio and the Aquarius boost off to stop Quattre, who is using the Wing Zero system to increase his anger. Quattre has already destroyed one colony, when Phantom Scorpio jumps on WZ's back and forcibly prys him out of the Wing Zero using his Scorpion manriki gusari. Quatrre is put in the Aquarius , while Scorpio hijacks the Wing Zero, towing it with Phantom Scorpio. Mercurius and Vayate attack on Scorpio's way to the moon, and Scorpio orders the Aquarius to return to the Winner Colony. The Scorpions are perplexed by their leader's decision, but obey. Wing Zero floats while Scorpio battles Vayate . Heero grabs the opportunity to enter Wing Zero. Trowa, thinking Scorpio has killed Quatrre, attacks with Vayate's full force. Once again, the God Gundam arm comes to his rescue, absorbing and redirecting more attacks. The battle ends when Quatrre sends a message to Heero and Trowa confirming his safety. Torus suits suddenly turn on Wing Zero and Vayate. Outgunned and exhausted from battle, Trowa and Heero fight on. This is when suddenly, a blue light comes from nowhere.... It is Phantom Scorpio, wielding the dreaded Shining Finger. He tells Heero to fire the twin buster at him, despite Heero's own protests. Heero fires and Scorpio deflects the beams with his Shining Finger, destroying the OZ Toruses as well as their carrier. Bargaining with the Gundam pilots, Scorpio takes Mercurius instead. Summoning the Pisces, Scorpio gives Trowa the location of Heavy Arms, which the Scorpions recovered (after Barton 'forgot') and refitted with extra ammunition packs and multi missles.Trowa is impressed when Sally and Howard recover it.They part ways soon after, with Quatrre enlisting more Scorpion help to recover Sandrock (they also looted a nearby Gundanium refinery). Due to their complicity in the Gundam theft, the Scorpions are implicated with the same crimes as the Gundams are. The battles drag on, until Zechs eventually breaks off and resumes his identity as Millardo Peacecraft. The Sanq Kingdom is reformed, and the Scorpions are intrested in their Defense Ball technology. In a bold move, however, Scorpio resorts to subterfuge(To Sanq Kingdomers, Walker is unknown), and nicks some Balls under Relena's nose using his old identity. Millardo is shocked and angered that someone used his 'late' friend's identity. Noin, however, wonders. Scorpio knows Zechs will not hunt him down just yet, as he knows the promise made to Trieze. Were Zechs' mask to break, it would mean the end of his and Trieze's friendship. The White Fang era is born. The Defense Balls are developed into Fire Balls, which surround the Pisces. Mercurius is transformed into Super Shield, which is secretly shipped to the Peacemillon crew.The package to Sally Po only reads "To Life, from Death". Scorpio, worried about the impending situation, decides to ally with the Gundams, who have declared themselves non-White Fang nor OZ. Duo, however has a bone to pick with Scorpio when they meet.After all, Scorpio has in a way, hampered Duo's operation. Scorpio brushes the younger Duo aside, but calls him "Little Death" as a homage to his awesome battle skill. The two almost come to blows anyway, but Hilde Shrilbecker stops the fight. Scorpio is intrigued by this ex-OZ soldier, who recognises him as Thomas Walker. He and Duo put their differences aside when they conduct a raid with Hilde on an OZ ship carrying vital information Heero lost earlier on. When Hilde is injured trying to recover the disk, Duo calls her an idiot when she returns. Scorpio however, teaches him a lesson in dealing with women. Duo confesses that he indeed has feelings for Hilde, but the current priority is to stop the war. Scorpio just laughs. : Death, young man, is for people who have nothing to live for.You, are very much alive! When the battle with Libra erupts, the Gundams ,Scorpions and Maganacs are caught between their enemies, the White Fang and OZ. Zechs is dueling with Heero while Chang faces Trieze,and Quattre and Scorpio enter the Libra. Observing Chang's battle with her beloved Trieze, Lady Une is caught unawares. Before Altron's naginata penetrates Tallgeese II's cockpit, Trieze sees Lady Une's head pierced by a bullet...Scorpio exits with Quattre and Dorothy (who has to be knocked out by Trowa)and boots Noin out unceremoniously in an escape pod. Deathsythe Hell and Heavyarms are caught in enemy fire, but they are far away from the falling Libra. Scorpio, however in right in its path. As Epyon and Wing Zero battle , Duo screams at 'Papa Death' to get out of the way.Knowing the Shining or even God finger isn't enough, Scorpio invokes all his concentration....BAKRETSU.....GOD...FINGER!!TEN-TAIYOOKEN! GODDO..PHOENIX!!!!! The ensuing explosion seems to engulf Zechs, but Heero escapes. Phantom Scorpio emerges with the glowing God Finger, a testament to Tohou Fuhai and Domon Kashu's teachings. Noin is saddened. Now two of her best friends are dead.Lady Une, who seemed so changed has been shot by the same person who killed Walker. She refuses to believe Zechs is dead. Indeed, he's not. Epyon was grabbed by Phantom Scorpio during the Phoenix, and soon, Zechs regains conciousness. Noin is wonderfuly suprised by who is at the door the following day. Zechs carries a message,crudely taped to his butt. "I took Walker away from you...I won't take Zechs away, I promise." -Phantom Scorpio [ENDLESS WALTZ TIME] A year after demilitarization,the Scorpions have shed their pirate status and are now developing terraforming equipment for the Sanq Kingdom. Neo Japan's location however, is still a secret. Phantom Scorpio is hidden in Rain's old workshop. Scorpio finds peace in Tohou Fuhai's teachings, and makes regular contact with Little Death and Hilde, whose relationship is growing even more now that they live together. The clan of Lon now lives on Neo China, launched back into earth orbit by the Scorpions. The arrival of Mariemia Kushrenada, however, changes everything. Chang Wufei's apparent turn of face also infuriates Scorpio, who had great respect for Chang. Scorpio refuses to fight anymore,but when Mariemia's forces discover who killed Lady Une, a bounty is placed on his head. Not wanting to endanger the Scorpions, Phantom resigns as their commander and sneaks off to Duo and Hilde's place. He discovers that Duo has, along with the others sent their mecha to the Sun. Quatrre, sent to retrieve it , has not yet reported. He agrees to the use of Pisces (now equipped with a superluminal drive) to retrieve it. He recovers the Gundams, and Quatre's damaged ship. As the Pisces zooms to the Earth (it was at Mercury), Mariemaia begins her plan to hunt Scorpio down. Surrounded by Heavy duty Gemini cruisers, Scorpio pilots Heavyarms and together with Quatre, defeat the cruisers. The Gundams are reunited , and the Endless Waltz begins. Tallgeese III faces off with Wing Zero Custom, but this time, Phantom Scorpio halts the battle. :No..no more! :You! : You have to stop now! Before anymore chaos! : You killed Walker. I will never forgive you for that.Why did you let me live? : Because Noin would be sad. :Thought he was going to say Relena. Meanwhile, Duo recovers Deathsythe Hell, but stops Hilde from joining him. Hilde protests, but Duo insists. Before he leaves, Scorpio's words ring in his mind. " Death, young man, is for people who have nothing to live for.You are very much alive!" He runs off to hug Hilde tight, explaining why he has to return to war.He issues some parting comments. :Pray for me, Hilde... :I will... :Pray for me, Hilde...coz when I come back, we're gonna have a party!! : I will! (Smiles) Scorpio and the Gundams end Mariemia's reign of terror,and Scorpio is offered a place alongside Rashid and the other Maganacs by Quatrre.He accepts, and Scorpion Base is now public.After six long years, the Scorpions are reuited with surviving loved ones on Earth. Instead of destroying the Gundams, the Mobile Suits are entombed in stone next to Phantom Scorpio and God Gundam,to remind everyone how dangerous warfare can be. Scorpio ends the story. ----EPILOGUE----- 4 years on, and Duo Maxwell's biggest day is dawning. Here he stands in the wedding chapel, ready to marry his longtime sweetheart, Hilde Scheilbecker. Heero has emerged from hiding and is Duo's best man, although he and Relena rarely communicate. He has also emerged from his shell, although he has to learn everything all over again. Chang Wufei and Sally Po are in what Chang calls a 'social experiment' relationship ( he likes it, really). Still bossy, Chang's outbursts are somehow dampened by Sally's prescence. Trowa now owns the circus he used to work in, while Quatre is still figuring out how to handle Dorothy and the Maganacs at the same time. Scorpio is assigned to give away the bride. Zechs and Noin, now happily married for two years are among the guests. Millardo is relieved that the Gundam boys,Heero in particular, have no more grudge against them. Noin is still saddened by Walker's absence (he once promised to either give Noin away or be Zech's best man-or both). However, as one by one the GW boys fluff their 'best man' speeches, Scorpio takes the stage. : OK Folks, sorry to interrupt your drinking, but the father of the bride wants to speak... :Millardo, I don't know if I can go through with this... : Don't worry, Noin... : I want to congratulate Little Death here on his marriage to this fine young lady. Marriage depends on truth and communication. That's a fact. But we must consider the fact that all of us who opposed OZ and White Fang alike were wearing masks, pretending to be human. I am no stranger to this. So let's all be honest. I have lied to you all. Scorpio takes off his mask. Noin gasps. Walker looks her in the eye. : Now I lie no more. Viva Duo! : Viva Duo!Viva Quatre! : Viva alcohol...hic! Noin and Zechs rush to Walker, who tries to turn away. :Why, Walker? How...I don't understand. :The day you and Zechs started killing the Alliance troops, my spirit was broken. Hence I killed myself,for six years becoming Phantom Scorpio, fighting alongside people who still had honour and justice in their hearts. I did not want to live in a world where my best friends suddenly became murderers. I've been living here on the Moon ever since.With people I could trust. : You broke our vow of friendship, Walker. Trust is one of those foundation, you just said so yourself. You lied to us. You openly fought us, you stapled a message on my BUTT!(rubs butt) :Millardo! You forget! He never actually fought US! He fought OZ, like we did!Still, my butt hurts from that escape shuttle... : I would never hurt either one of you. I don't know if you can find it in your hearts to forgive me, but I hope you don't hate me anymore. Being Trieze's pawns was bad enough for you two...for six years you were mine....I'm sorry. : We could never hate you, Walker..you're like a brother to us.You may have hurt us,but now that you're here, Millardo and I- : Excuse me, Miss Noin, but little Thomas wants his mommy! (Noin cradles her baby,cooing it to sleep) :???? : We named our child after you. Now, we want you to be his god father. :Millardo...Lucerzia...I would be honored.
