(the Scene opens at Shannon's house. Nicole and Shannon are on the trampoline in the backyard, lying on their backs and staring up at the sky. They are both wearing their PJs. Nicole's are cow print pants and a grey tank-top. Shannon is wearing star and moon printed pants and a sky-blue t-shirt.) Nicole: It looked like they were starting to get a bit annoyed at us. Shannon: Not so much at you. I think they were really just mad at the fact that Amber and I knew more than them. Nicole: That's a bit egotistical of them, dontcha think? Shannon: What do you expect? They're teenage boys. Their prides are too big to all fit in the same room. Thats why they always get into fights. Nicole: Its all so clear now... Shannon: Don't you worry, when we get to gaming next weekend, we'll put them in their places. (They both grin) They'll eventually get used to the fact that we know a little more about something than they do. Or they'll just quit. Nicole: I hope they don't quit. Amber is working so hard on this. She'd be really disappointed. Shannon: Yeah. You know, I feel really sorry for her. She worked for two whole weeks, with minimal sleep, to finish that campaign and Wufei wrecked it in less than two minutes. He's such a spoil sport. Nicole: I know. We should get back at him at the next gaming session. Shannon: But what would we do. If we just randomly poke fun at him, he'll just throw a tantrum and put everyone in a bad mood. Nicole: Why don't we beat him up a bit? Shannon: Amber isn't to keen on inter-party fighting. Yelling she can deal with, but actual damage being done is a big no-no. Nicole: hmm...maybe we could-holy crud what's that? Shannon: What in the name of- (silence) (the next scene opens at the residence of Zechs and Noin Marquise. After a barbecue dinner, the Gundam boys are all in their room, looking over the player's manual.) Wufei: So you're saying that if I want to creep up to a room and try to hear what's going on, I first roll a twenty sided dice and add my dexterity bonus or my move silently bonus, if I have one, and then I do the same thing again, only this time adding my wisdom or listen bonus? Duo: Exactly. Quatre: Geez, that's a bit complicated, don't you think? Duo: Actually, it makes persfect sense. Here, Wufei, let me see your character sheet. Okay, since you have the move silently skill, that means that you have a better chance of moving silently than someone who doesn't, because your move silently modifier is made up of your dexterity modifier and how ever many ranks you chose to put into it. Get it? Wufei: I think so. Duo: Okay. Now, just roll that twenty sided dice right there. Okay, you rolled an eight. Add your total move silently modifier, which is eight, and all together you have a sixteen. Wufei: Yeah, but what does that do? Duo: If you have a higher number for your move silently check than whoever might be around you has for their listen check, then no one can hear you. Heero: Hmmmm...this is all starting to make sense now. Quatre: Yeah. I'm glad Amber leant us her player's guide. Otherwise we'd be totally lost. Duo: Not necessarily. Apparently Shannon learned most of what she knows about the game from Amber and her brother Max. Most of this was explained to her as she went. Wufei: So we have already surpassed her at this stage. Weak onna. Quatre: Now that's enough, Wufei. This isn't a competition. We're doing this to have fun, right? Wufei: Then you're as weak as they are. How are you supposed to get anywhere in this game if you don't compete? Duo: Hmm...well thats a toughy there Wufei. Duh! Its called teamwork! In Dungeons and D ragons you're all supposed to work together! Wufei: Hmmph. Heero: They're right, Wufei. You're not supposed to ignore your teamates. It is very likely that you'll get yourself killed that way. Wufei: Only weaklings need to depend on someone else for survival. I only need myself. Trowa: Would you shut up for once? As if the air up here wasn't hot enough already. Wufei: For one who hardly ever opens his mouth, you sure have a lot of nerve. Trowa: Look, Wufei. If you don't like the game, then just don't play, alright? Wufei: Fine, then I won't. Duo: Good, do us all a fav-what is that? Quatre: I haven't the slightest- Trowa: Where did it come from? Heero: I think we should get out of here! Wufei: You bunch of weakli- (silence) Zechs: (knocking on the door to the boys' room) Hey guys? Is everything alright in there? Noin and I heard yelling, what are you guys up to? You better not be fighting again! Guys? Guys? (he opens the door and sees nothing but a buch of scattered papers and dice.) Thats strange, I could have sworn they were up here. (In this scene, Amber is sitting indian-style on her bed, typing on her laptop. The clock on her nightstand reads 2am) Amber: Darn you Wufei. I can't believe that kid. Oh, I could just ring his neck. Hmmm...I wonder what this trap here should be, a pressure panel, or a trip wire. Decisions decisions. (Just then a knock is heard) Max: Hey Amby, need a little help in there? Amber: Sure, come on in Max. (Max comes in and stands by Amber's bed) Max: So what do you need help with? Amber: I need your opinion. They're in a dungeon and about to step out into a large open room. Do you think there should be a pressure panel or a trip wire? Max: Pressure panel. They'll never see it coming. So what does the trap do? Amber: Oh its cool! It makes the door behind them close and then the whole room starts filling with water. Max: Oh! Where's the water coming from? Amber: This part of the dungeon is under a large lake, so the water comes straight from there. Max: What's the trap guarding? Amber: An old deserted Dragon horde. Max: Ooooo. Sounds cool. You wanna soda? Amber: Sure. Max: Kay, I'll be right back. Amber: (She starts typing again as another wave of inspiration hits her. Suddenly, a shimmer out of the corner of her eye catches her attention. Turning to the mirror over her dresser, she sees that the mirror has ripples in it, like water. Out of curiosity, she steps a bit colser. Suddenly, a white, shimmering hand reaches out and pulls her towards the mirror.) Hey! What the- Max: (He comes in seconds later, carrying two sodas. When he opens the door, he sees nothing.) Amby? Amber? Where'd you go? Huh?
