After they had finished cleaning up, they had joined the others in the Living Room. It was starting to get dark, and people were starting to yawn. "Why don’t I take Yuli upstairs, to bed?" Mia suggested. It wasn’t hard to convince Yuli, since he was starting to fall asleep in the chair. "You three should stay here tonight," Mia said. "Ryo, you can show them where they can stay." Then Mia and Yuli disappeared up the stairs. "Yuli’s parents are away for the week," Rowen explained. "That’s why he’s staying with us." "Alright," Danny said. "That makes sense." "According to my report," Justin said, "We should be able to leave tomorrow night." "Wow, I guess that’s good news for you guys," Neala said. "I suppose," Danny said, slowly. "What’s wrong?" Shira asked him. Linda looked at Danny for a moment. "He’s worried," she said. "Yea, I guess I am a bit worried," Danny said. "About what?" Cye asked. "About our mission," Linda said, matter-of-factly. "We have to save the planet from Scorpion and the Earthlings. It’s like a double mission. The three of us can handle it." "Don’t forget," Justin added. "I’m going back home to buy you as much time as I you need. I’ll just be the two of you until Bobby and Kira get there to give you back up." Linda looked sure of herself, but Justin looked a bit worried. Suddenly, Rowen came up with an idea. "Hey!" he said. "We haven’t had any problems around here lately, right?" "No, so?" Kento asked, not getting the point. "So," Rowen started again, "Why don’t we help you guys out?" "Yea, we could be a great help," Neala said, backing up Rowen’s idea. "Why not?" "I suppose you could," Justin said, "But you must be sure." "Why don’t we go up to bed, and you guys can think about it?" Danny suggested. "Alright," Sage agreed. "That’s a good idea. Let me show you were you three can sleep." Sage showed them upstairs and then came back down. "Alright guys," Ryo said, once Sage came back. "We have a big decision on our hands." "I think we should go," Kento said. "We haven’t gotten to fight for awhile." "Wait, I think we should think about this," Sage said. "Well, I agree with Kento," Shira said. "Besides, how many chances do you get to travel to the future with two warriors from a different planet?" Neala said. "We used to fight a guy that was thousands of years old, but this is a lot stranger." "Alright," Ryo said. "Do we all agree?" Everyone nodded their heads. "We’re gonna go then." "If we’re gonna go, then let’s get some sleep," Cye said. "Tomorrow will be a big day. Plus, we still have to tell Mia and Yuli about it." Everyone agreed, so they all went upstairs to go to sleep. Linda heard everyone come upstairs, and then go into their rooms. Danny and Justin were already sleeping next door. Linda had the whole room to herself. ‘Wow, that was fast,’ she thought to herself. ‘I wonder if they’re gonna come.’ Linda shook her head in the dark. ‘I shouldn’t let them. They will just get in my way.’ Linda sighed and thought about that afternoon. She really did have fun hanging out with them. Then, she thought back to what Justin had told her. ‘Austin’s a bad guy,’ she thought, ‘But he was my trainer. Should I forget some of the lessons he taught me?’ She sat and thought about it. ‘Nah, he wasn’t evil when he taught me them, so I should remember them. If course, I don’t know when he turned evil, but still.’ Linda rolled over and fell into an uneasy sleep. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The next morning, everyone was up fairly early. Even Yuli was awake early. Danny and Justin left right after breakfast, to work on the shuttle. Linda went outside to train, which left everyone else in the Living Room. Then Mia and Yuli left to go shopping, so it was just the Ronins. No one knew what they should be doing. "Hey guys," Neala said suddenly. "Did anyone ever tell Mia and Yuli we were leaving?" Everyone thought for a second and shook their heads. "Well, I think they’ll notice when we leave with those guys," she added. "Good point," Rowen said. "We better tell them when they get back." "Right," Ryo said. "Since we will be leaving in a few hours, why don’t we train a bit? It’s been awhile since we really been in a fight." "That’s a good idea," Sage agreed. "We don’t know what we’ll be up against." The others agreed and went to train by themselves or in pairs. Kento and Cye went together, Ryo left with Shira and White Blaze, Rowen went with Neala, and Sage went to meditate. The hours that were left went be quickly. Soon, everyone came back for dinner, and the Ronins gave Mia and Yuli the news. With Mia and Yuli sad at the Ronins leaving, and Justin and Danny still working on the shuttle, it was a quiet meal. Finally, Justin and Danny came back. That meant it was time to leave. "Alright," Justin said. "Everyone going, is going now." "Take care you guys," Mia said. "Don’t get hurt and use your heads." Ryo thought for a moment, and then went to Yuli. "You have to be the man of this house and watch Mia. White Blaze is going to stay behind to help you. Ok?" "Ok," Yuli said, and grinned. "Yuli of the Wind can do it!" He put on a paper hat and grinned. "Of course, you gonna hurry back, right?" "We’ll be back before you know it," Ryo said. "This is all very touching, but let’s go," Linda said. "Time to go." "Linda’s right," Danny said. "We must be going now." The others finished saying goodbye, and followed Justin and Danny out the door. Linda stuck around for a minute. "Don’t worry about them," she said. "I’ll be doing most of the fighting." "Thanks," Mia said. "Take care of yourself." Linda said good-bye and then quickly joined the others. It was time to take off. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * It didn’t take very long to take off. Once everyone put their seatbelts on, they left. In an hour, they started to pick up something on radar. "I think we got it right this time," Danny said. "We are picking up the colonies on the radar." "Alright, about time," Linda said. She got up to look out a window, and so did Sage. "Wow, I’ve never been in space before," Sage said. "It’s all the same," Linda said. "Just empty, black space." Suddenly, a huge shadow appeared. It turned into this huge, black robot of some sort. "Hey!" Linda yelled. "Did you see that too?" Sage asked. "What was that?" "What are you two talking about?" Danny asked, coming up behind them. "There’s nothing out there." "Of course," Linda said. "We’re moving one way, and that thing was moving the other way. Did you think it was just going to wait for you?" "Thanks a lot," Danny said. "Well, what did you see?" "I don’t know," Linda said. "It was a huge, black robot or something." "Could it be that Scorpion guy?" Sage asked. "Wait a minute, " Justin said. "If we’re in the right place, that might have been a Gundam." "A what?" Kento asked. "A Gundam," Danny answered. "In this time, there is a war going on. The Gundams are huge machines, built to protect the colonies. There are seven different Gundam pilots, right?" "Right," Justin said. "I think I read about two more Mobile Suits, but I know there are five young boys who pilot the Gundams, and two girls that also have Gundams." "What are Mobile Suits?" Cye asked. "Mobile Suits (MS) are what people fight in," Justin explained. "Now adays, people fight wars in huge robots called MS. Gundams are giant MS. Understand?" "I think so," Ryo said. "That thing Linda and Sage saw could have been a Gundam. So that means the can fly in space, right?" "Exactly," Justin said. "Enemy MS can also fly through space. I don’t have all the information, but I do know that those Gundams are more powerful then their enemies, and they are on our side." "Ok, Sage said. "Some how, we have to join up with them." "Right," Danny said. "But now we have to land. Everyone put their seat belts on." Everyone did as Danny said, and Justin started landing the shuttle. He made sure to put a special machine on, so no one would pick them up on radar. They landed in mere moments. "Alright, everyone out!" Danny yelled, as they landed. They all quickly go t out. Everyone wanted to see what it looked like. They had landed in a forest. It didn’t look that much different. "Ok," Justin said. "Danny, do you remember what I told you?" Danny nodded his head, so Justin continued. "Great. I must be going, but I’m counting on you guys. Do whatever you can, and stay safe." "Do you have to go right away?" Kento said. "Don’t you want to check this out?" "No, I must go," Justin said. "The faster I get back, the better. I have to make the Council change their minds, and that isn’t easy. Will everyone be alright?" The others all nodded. "Alright, good bye then. Stay safe, and I’ll be checking in." Justin walked back inside and took off a few minutes later. "Ok, what do we do now?" Neala asked. "We need a place to stay," Shira said. "Like a base or something." "Leave that to me," Danny said. "Why don’t you guys pair off and go exploring? The base won’t be ready till night fall." "What? How are you-" Kento was cut off by Linda. "Just trust him," she said. "Let’s just go." Everyone split up into different pairs. Neala and Rowen went off, Ryo and Shira went a different way, Cye and Kento was another pair, so that left Sage and Linda as a group. Danny stayed behind and started to get to work.
