"Why would we do that?" Justin said, frowning. "We would never give you that satisfaction." "I just thought you would," Captain Please said, "since we are setting this bomb." The three prisoners didn’t say anything. "This isn’t any fun! People are always saying,’ Captain Please, please don’t!’ Scorpion warned me that this wouldn’t be fun." "That’s really sick," Linda said. "What?" Captain Please said. "Your job isn’t that different." "Yea, but I don’t take pleasure in hurting innocent people," Linda said. Danny looked at her, curiously. That’s when he figured that she was trying to buy time. Her watch had a tiny laser in it, just for times like this. She was almost through the bond that was holding her hand down. Danny had forgotten that laser watch. He quickly twisted his hand around, until he got his laser on, too. "Captain Please!" Austin said. "Get back to setting this bomb!" When he turned around to set the bomb, Austin turned to the other three. "You are all weaklings," he said. "Scorpion will be very pleased when you are all out of his way, for ever!" "When did Scorpion get you on his side?" Linda asked. Austin laughed. "Let’s just say, much longer then you would think." "Alright people," Captain Please said. "I want you three to have fun. You have two minutes left to live. Austin, time to go." "Yes," Austin agreed. On their way out, Austin called back to Justin. "So, now who’s on top!" Then, the two ran off. "Linda," Danny said. "You almost done?" "Give me two seconds, Danny," she said. She jumped up a moment later. She quickly realized that she wouldn’t have enough time to save both her friends. She barely had a minute left. She had to get rid of the bomb. She ran over to the wall. "Um, Justin," she said. "There are way to many wires to cut." "Calm down," Justin said. "I’ll lead you." He said that just as Danny broke free. "While you do that," he said, "I’ll help Justin." "Alright," Linda said. She was a bit worried. She knew how to set bombs, but she didn’t know anything about disarming them. Justin was a big help. He talked her through the whole thing, right down to the last, three wires. "What now?" Linda asked. They didn’t have much time left. "The orange one," Justin said. "There are two of them," Linda replied. "Which one do I cut?" "It’s always the right one," Justin said. "Then cut the left one," Danny said, while he was trying to free Justin. "Scorpion might be trying to trick us." "Well, what is it?" Linda asked. "The right or left one?" The two boys shook their heads. They only had a few seconds left. ‘Come on Linda’ she thought to her self. ‘You know Scorpion the best here.’ She closed her eyes, and cut the black one. The timer stopped with five seconds left. At the same time, Justin was freed. "Which one did you cut?" Justin asked. "Neither," Linda said. "I cut the black one." "Figures," Danny said, with a grin. "Scorpion would pick the odd one. Good thinking." "Yes, well done," Justin agreed. "Now, let’s get out of here. We need to alert some people about our new enemy." The other two nodded, and everyone walked out. They had only walked a few feet away from the building when, suddenly, they heard a blast. The three were thrown to the ground, as the Information Center blew up. "Wow," Linda said slowly. The three people got up. "They must have set bombs all over the Center." "That’s it!" Danny said, surprising Linda and Justin. "What’s it?" Justin said. "Also, don’t shout." "The whole plan was so simple," Danny said. "The whole plan must have been to blow up the Center. This way, if we go to Earth, we won’t know anything. Killing us would have just been a bonus." "Yea," Linda agreed. "If Scorpion was really trying to kill us, he would have had a better plan then that." Linda thought for a moment. "It’s gonna be tough, but we can do it. We can learn everything we need to know when we get to Earth. In fact, why wait? Let’s leave as soon as possible." Justin looked a bit doubtful, but he said, "Ok, why not? We can go, if you two promise to be careful." Linda and Danny nodded. The trio decided to meet at the Space Base in two hours. Danny and Linda went to prepare a ship, while Justin went to alert his men, and inform anyone whom needed to know about them leaving early. Two hours later, Justin met with the other two at a shuttle. Justin had a worried expression on his face. "Hey, what’s wrong?" Linda asked. "Something wrong? Did you forget something?" "No, no" Justin said. "I remembered everything. I even left a note for Bobby and Kira to meet us when they finish." Justin paused for a second. "I’m not exactly sure where the Earth is. To get there, we must travel through a certain area, or we could end up in a different place or time." "That’s alright Justin," Danny said. "Just try your best and we won’t blame you. It’s no your fault if we end up in the wrong place." Linda nodded in agreement. "Danny’s right," she said. "It’s Scorpion’s fault. Let’s just go already." The other two smiled and climbed aboard the shuttle. Justin seemed to feel better and he quickly sat in the front seat. He put the right coordinates into the computer (hopefully), and the shuttle took off. As the ship took off, many people waved and wished them well. Since everyone was watching the ship, no one noticed a man dressed all in black. As soon as the ship took off, he turned around and left. He walked as quick as he could through town, right to an ally. "Master," the man whispered. "I’m right here," a deep voice said. Suddenly, a tall powerful looking man appeared out of the shadows. Like the first man, he was dressed all in black. This man was also wearing a long, black cape. "What is it, Overlord?" he asked. "Master Scorpion, I’m very sorry to bother you. Their ship just took off. I thought you might want to know." Overlord bowed his head and waited for instructions. "Perfect," Scorpion said. "It’s time to return to the Earth. When we meet up with those kids, you will be able to fight them. In fact, I will leave the Moon Princess to you." "That you master! I’ve waited a long time for a rematch with her," Overlord said. "I will not fail you again." Overlord seemed quite pleased with this news. "No, you won’t," Scorpion said and narrowed his eyes. "You will not fail me again. Before you come to Earth, I want you to go on a little trip for me." "Yes sir!" Overlord said. Then the two disappeared into the shadows. * * * * * * * * * * *
