Waikato Secondary Schools' Choir
How you can help us
The Waikato Secondary Schools' Choir members are drawn from secondary schools throughout the Waikato region, including Hamilton, Cambridge, Putaruru and Tokoroa. WSSC is a stepping stone for young singers who would eventually like to progress to other singing groups, including the Waikato Youth Choir, the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Choir, and the New Zealand Youth Choir.

WSSC is one of six music groups which make up the Waikato Youth Music Association.  Although the WYMA is our "parent" and arranges funding for us for things such as purchase of music, for the most part we have to find our own funds.

This year each member of the choir has to find around $300 for our activities.  We have some dedicated parents who help out, and we do fundraising (see our calendar) but any other assistance we can get is very much appreciated.

Sponsorship is one way you can help.  Why not become a "Friend of the WSSC" for just $10 per individual or $25 per family?  We'll keep you up to date with newsletters of the choir's progress, and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped some special young people towards achieving their goals.
