The bleeding can be stop by gentle pressure on wound using a sterile or clean cloth and putting sterile or clean bandages after it. Often these wounds need glueing or sewing.

-Artery

If you cut your artery it can cause death in a few minutes. To stop bleeding, apply hard pressure on the wound press it with a sterile cloth so the bacteria won't get in. Put a bandage on the wound if possible. If there's too much blood and it soaks through the bandages press harder to make it stop bleeding. Do not remove the soaked bandages put another one on top instead.
