Not Dead Yet is an acoustic duo consisting of singer/songwriter/guitarist Michael S. Gordon and his wife, singer Stephanie Gordon. They started singing together in the late 80's doing the bar-band thing, then did the wedding circuit before heading into the coffeehouse scene. Most recently, they serve on the worship team at Westside Family Church in Shawnee, KS, a Purpose Driven church. Their music is a blend of original music and familiar tunes ranging in style from folk to rock to blues to worship.

The name was a joke at first, kind of a "if it's too loud, you're too old" reference, but soon they realized the tie in with Luke 9:60, where Jesus says "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God", and the Great Commission to make disciples of all the nations that we are all called to.

Stephanie and Michael were most recently known for their work in "smalltalk" and "TenFeetSmall". Much of that material is the foundation for this new project, and demo cd's are available. A full length release is planned for 2006, and hopes are to do a worship disk in the future.
