Me and Jenn got to the concert line-up at 8:00; that was one hour before the doors opened. Earlier that day I told Jenn about how sometimes you have to "check" your camera. So Jenn was extremely paranoid [because she was carrying 3 cameras]. But, being the V.I.Ps that we were, they didn't search us. They just waved us on in. My dad headed for the bar while me and Jenn made our way to the pit. We chose a spot on the left side of the room. We saw a guy we knew there [Jenn's friend Ryan] and his friend [Chris]. Soon after getting in, the first band, Not By Choice, came on. I had never heard them before but Jenn had and she was really psyched about seeing them and I was of course very impressed. They were very lively and just... AMAZING! After their set we stood around and listened to New Found Glory. Where we were standing was right near where all the backstage folks would go from backstage to the pit. And Jenn and me noticed a very hot guy that we recognized. The guitarist, Chico, from Not By Choice. I poked him and asked if we could get pictures with him. He squished his face up against mine for the pictures and did the same for Jenn. He was really nice! And I'm pretty sure me and Jenn will remember meeting him for the rest of our lives. I'm not going to into great detail on the second band. They were called "Grade" and we didn't like them. The band was good, but the singer just screamed too much, and it sounded terrible. Me and Jenn "sat that one out". Then after the bad music ended Jenn spotted Tom [singer/guitarist] from Gob. So I poked him and asked if he would pose in our pictures with us. He was quite nice about it and we indeed got our pictures. Awhile later Gob came on. They were great. I got a little out of control and grabbed Tom's leg during the show. The last song they played was "Paint It Black"; originally dome by the Rolling Stones. It was awesome. After the show we hung around with our new found friend Chris, and Ryan. I embarrassed myself by yelling at Theo [singer/guitarist] from Gob to get his picture taken with us. [I think I embarrassed Jenn as well]. But he disappeared. Then 5 minutes later, Jenn elbowed me and started pointing frantically at the area by the bar, "There's Theo!". So we booted it across the floor [without bringing too much attension to ourselves] and asked for pictures. We stood and talked to Theo and posed for pictures. Then the night was over. We drove back to Norwood [yakking about the concert all the way home]. It is honestly one of the best concerts I have ever seen. And seeing it with Jenn just made the experience even more enjoyable!
