The ever-growing Linus Entertainment record label announced today (May 5) that they've signed up the Not By Choice boys. Linus also plays home to an impressive stable of Canadian talent including Tuuli, Shocore, By Divine Right and internationally renowned singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith. Not By Choice are in good company not only is Linus a fairly prestigious label, but the agreement also comes with a distribution deal with Warner Music.
Of course, a new deal means a new record. Linus don't have any new Not By Choice material to release just yet, but there will be something on the record shop soon. The band are gearing up to go into the studio with producer John Whynot very soon and should have an album ready for public consumption by September of this year.
Which makes Not By Choice a very, very busy band. They're already signed themselves up for appearances at EdgeFest (July 1 in Barrie, Ontario) as well as the Vans Warped Tour dates in Montreal and Toronto in August. Finally, Not By Choice will be joining fellow Ajax natives Sum 41 on the Pepsi Taste Tour (you gotta win to get in) in September.
