Not By Choice Gets The Hell Out Of Ajax And Tours Canada

With the success of their debut full length album, last year�s Maybe One Day, Not By Choice seem set to follow their Ajax peers Sum 41 into the world of rock stardom. Excited about their recent exposure, the pop-punkers are all set for the month long tour that will see them bringing their sound to Ontario, P.E.I., Nova Scotia, Alberta and British Columbia. The later part of the tour will be with Sum 41 patrons Treble Charger.

Formed a few years back, the current line-up, consists of guitarist Chico Dunning, AJ Bovaird on bass, Liam Killeen backing on drums and Mike Bilcox handling both vocal and guitar duties, was cemented in 2000. The quartet released three independent EPs before they we�re eventually scooped up by Linus Entertainment. The band than hooked up with producer John Whynot (engineer for Blue Rodeo) who helped them sharpen their Green Day/Blink 182 influences.

With the popular single "Standing All Alone" bringing the band to the nations attention, they have since opened for Goldfinger, Unwritten Law, Avril Lavigne, Tuuli and Sum 41. They also have performed in Montreal and Toronto for the 2001 Warped Tour and were invited along for Edgefest 2002.
