| VINCENT VAN GOGH |
| Do not quench your inspiration and your imagination; do not become the slave of your model. Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together. I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day. I wish they would only take me as I am. One may have a blazing hearth in one's soul and yet no one ever comes to sit by it. Passersby see only a wisp of smoke rising from the chimney and continue on their way. The best way to know God is to love many things. |
