| A good scare is worth more to a man than good advice. American freedom consists largely in talking nonsense. If you think before you speak, the other fellow gets in his joke first. Instead of loving your enemies, treat your friends a little better. No man would listen to you talk if he didn't know it was his turn next. The sounder your argument, the more satisfaction you get out of it. There is only one thing for a man to do who is married to a woman who enjoys spending money, and that is to enjoy earning it. When I say "everybody says so," I mean I say so. You may easily play a joke on a man who likes to argue--agree with him. |
