Author's note: Thanks to my betas Tara, Jem and Asha who were a tremendous help. The jail scene is the first of its kind that I've ever done and they encouraged me and helped me throughout. A HUGE special thanks must go to Asha. Without her the jail scene would never have existed. Asha literally told me what to write!! I don't know what I would have done without Asha. Give me the status report on the Parker case. Captain Hutchinson barked. Ive gotten to know Lisa Holt a bit. Joey started. Ive been to her place, had lunch and all that. From what shes told me her relationship with Jerome Parker was far from simple. From Lisas drunken ramblings things with Parker werent as rosy and happy as Mr Anderson painted them to be although Lisa appears to have genuinely loved Parker. I get the feeling that work was probably more important to Parker than Lisa, that he wasnt really there for her emotionally. Lisas a very insecure person and I think she took solace and comfort in other mens arms as a way to get Parker to take notice of her. She and Riner were lovers. Something I think was deliberate on Lisas part, she knew about the bad blood between Parker and Riner and was probably hoping to incise some reaction from Parker. Lisa, however, does seem to be upset about both their deaths. From what I can understand from the people Ive talked to at Moon Shadow she hasnt really been herself since both Parker and Riner died. More reclusive. Less interested in the male strippers and more interested in getting totally wasted. Pacey? the Captain questioned. Hows it going? Well Ive auditioned and had my interview at Moon Shadow a few days ago and I recently was informed that I got the part. I start work tomorrow. Good. Good. Captain Hutchinson smiled broadly. Im glad those dancing lessons with Anna went well. The department spent a bit of money getting her to teach you how to take your clothes off. Joey frowned at the words. So Drue, Chris, what do the two of you have to report? Captain asked. Well as you know Jen had some very interesting results about the water found in Riners lungs. There was an interesting mixture of chemicals found in the water. One there was an abundance of chlorine indicating that Riner was probably drowned in a pool. Jen had the lab technicians examine the water. There were other chemicals, besides the chlorine, found in the water which due to their presence and high levels indicate that were looking at a house with a pool in a particular region around Boston. Chris rolled out a map. Here and here. Its a very select area. Apparently due to industry near by, the water from the houses have special treatment and filters. Interestingly enough, Mr Parkers house falls in that area. Which means Drue continued. That Lisa Holt is a possible suspect for the crime. Maybe she finally decided to she was sick of Parkers neglect and she and Riner did away with Parker, only for her to kill Riner later. I mean all that sweet, insecure bullshit shes been feeding Joey could be an act. Maybe she knows Joeys a cop. Maybe shes just being careful, what with the high level of public scrutiny focused upon her at the moment. Either way, Miss Holt doesnt seem all that innocent at the moment. Fine. Captain nodded his approval. Joey I want you to continue your friendship with Miss Holt but be extra careful, as Drue and Chris have implied you could be dealing with a brutal killer who has already murdered two men in cold blood. Miss Holt could be looking for a new boy toy now that Riner and Parker are dead so Pacey, when youre at Moon Shadow tomorrow pay particular attention to Miss Holt. Try to be as friendly as possible. Okay? That shouldnt be too hard for Pacey. Joey muttered bitterly under her breath. Pacey shot a glance at Joey before answering the Captain. Thats fine. Is there anything else? No. Just be careful out there. And I want to see some results people. Captain stated as he dismissed them.
What the hell was that all about? Pacey demanded softly to Joey as they exited the Captains office and sat down at their desks. Nothing. Joey replied. I wouldnt call it nothing. Pacey remarked somewhat angrily, becoming furious at Joeys cold silent treatment. Youve been making all these snide comments all this week, you havent spoke to me or given me a chance to explain. You havent bothered to talk to me. And more than that you wont trust me. Well its kind of hard to trust you considering your history, Pace. Especially with Anna. Especially when you were dressed in the clothes from the night before and you had her lipstick all over you. You never gave me a chance to explain. You just shut me out because youre scared. Paceys voice grew louder. What type of partnership do we have if we dont have trust! Youre right. Maybe we dont have a partnership. Since we dont have trust. Maybe we should call this whole thing off. Joey shouted. This is so typical of you Josephine. Dont call me that! Well youre not acting like the Joey I know. Maybe you dont know me at all. Maybe I dont. And if this is the real you then I dont want to know you! And neither do I. I dont want to know you! I dont want to see you and I dont want to work with you! They were both screaming during this time while all the members of the Boston PD stood around and watched. Witter!! Potter!! IN MY OFFICE NOW!! came the angry shouts of Captain Hutchinson as he interrupted Paceys and Joeys argument. Still glaring at one another both Pacey and Joey entered the Captains office. I dont know what your argument was about and frankly I dont want to know. The Captain informed them. I would however prefer it if you didnt share your personal problems with the rest of the force. Whatever is wrong I want it fixedNOW! So Im going to send you both to cell 5 and you can work out your problems without disturbing the rest of us. And you are not to leave that cell until you do. Got it? Yes sir. Joey and Pacey answered like two belligerent little children. The two of you are my best pair of detectives. The Parker case is getting a lot of media attention and Im getting a lot of flack from the higher ups because they feel we are not solving this case fast enough. I really need you two to be okay. Do whatever it takes. I dont care. Just as long as everything is back to normal between the two of you.
Pacey stared at the hostile Joey at the other end of the cell. It wasnt a bad cell, cell 5, as far as cells go. It was secluded from the rest of the other cells, reserved for particularly disruptive inmates. On the left hand corner, near Paceys side, was a hard bed. The walls were painted an off white and it was concrete all around them save for the metal door which was the only exit and entrance. The door was currently unlocked which meant that Pacey and Joey could leave any time but both knew the Captain and understood that he would not be happy if they left cell 5 without having at least attempted to resolve the conflict between them. The Captain had also ordered that Pacey and Joey not be disturbed no matter how much screaming or noise might ensue. Staring at Joey had made Pacey realize that she was not going to be the one to make the first move and extend the olive branch. Jo, what happened between me and Anna isnt what you think. Pacey attempted. I dont care. Joey answered, her back turned away from Pacey. If you didnt care then you wouldnt be acting like this. Pacey pointed out reasonably. Maybe Im having PMS. Its not your time of month Jo. Joey scowled at the off white wall knowing Pacey had seen through her lie. Nothing happened Jo. She kissed me. Okay I let her kiss me for a moment or two but nothing happened. She wasnt you. Ive heard that line before. Joey replied, disbelieving. Ive never lied to you before. Actually how would I really know that? You could be a pathological liar for all I know and everything you have ever told me has been a lie. Okay, now youre just reaching. Pacey stated feeling his frustration grow. Anyway it doesnt matter. You had sex with me. You had sex with Anna. You can have sex with Jen and maybe the rest of the female population in Boston for all I care. Joey. Pacey called as he approached her from behind, grabbing her shoulders so that she faced him. Look at me. Look at me. I love you and only you. I hate you. Joey replied defiantly. Pacey flinched a little at her words. Damn it Jo! I know you dont mean that so can you please stop with the games!! Could you please try and listen!! Just listen to what Im trying to tell you, what I have been telling you!! Listen with your mind and your heart! Joey placed her hands over her ears and stuck her tongue out at Pacey to indicate that she hadnt been listening previously and had no intention of listening now. Pacey was getting angry, angry at her close-mindedness and Joeys lack of trust. Youre acting like a two year old! Pacey muttered in disgust. If this is how you act every time a relationship hits some problems no wonder youre such a failure. Joey bit her lip, hurt by Paceys words. Fuck you, Pacey. Something inside of them was both snapping, all the anger, the hatred and the frustration were coming out. Grabbing Joey by the arms Pacey slammed her against the wall. Youd like that wouldnt you? Pacey asked, his hands roughly squeezing her breasts. You cant even turn me on. Joey retorted doing her best impression of the Ice Queen. Oh I bet I could turn you on. Pacey promised. Ill have you screaming for more until your voice is hoarse and your throat is sore. He kissed Joey harshly and she returned the kiss before biting him on the lip, drawing blood. Pacey withdrew, wiping the blood away. He stared at Joey, his gaze intense and hard. Pacey held Joey against the wall, pinned her in fact, as his hands trailed the outline of Joeys face. Then in one sudden movement, Joeys shirt was ripped off, buttons flying everywhere. Pacey placed one leg in between Joeys legs and pried her legs open, his lower body grinding into her so she could feel his hardness. Joey gasped a little and squirmed trying to ignore the familiar stirrings of desire. Paceys eyes gleamed as he saw Joeys body respond, her nipples were hardening and pressing against the soft, fragile material that constituted Joeys bra. You want me. Pacey observed. Its cold in here since you so kindly ripped my shirt off for me. Joey retorted. So youre not dripping wet, desperately wanting me to f/uck you and touch you in all the right places? Pacey asked somewhat amusedly. No. Joey denied, the huskiness of her voice clearly betraying her own words. Well I guess theres only one way to see who is the liar here. Pacey answered as he unzipped Joeys skirt and watched the garment fall to her feet. Joey tried to move, tried to escape Paceys grasp but he held her tight. The more she moved the harder he got and he pressed his desire against her making sure she knew just how much he wanted her. A low moan laden with lust and desire escaped Joeys lips. "You like that Jo? Does it feel good??" Pacey growled as Joey continued to move against him. Joey bit Paceys shoulder in response. He flinched in pain but it didnt stop Pacey from tearing Joeys underwear off. His hand moved downwards and Pacey smiled a cocky grin when he felt the familiar warmth and liquid. Pacey dipped one finger into the warmth of Joeys center and re-emerged with fingers drenched by her desire. Casually Pacey licked his fingers then stared at Joey. Looks like someone has been lying. Pulling Joeys hair so that her face was looking up at him Pacey spoke. Do you know what happens to liars Jo? Joey shook her head angrily even as tears trickled down her face. They get punished. Pacey answered and kissed Joey hard, hurling their bodies against the wall once more. "Punish me Pacey". Joey hissed as animalistic desire took over and her hands worked to discard Paceys clothes. It was wanton and passionate but also primal and instinctive. Their bodies were grinding against the other, Pacey rubbing himself hard against her. She could feel him so close, so hard and so close, and yet he refused to give her what she needed, what she wanted and desired. Pacey! Please! Joey begged. What do you want Jo? You have to tell me. Pacey demanded. I want you! Only you! I want you to fuck me! Joey cried out. Pacey growled, relishing at the sound of her words before he slammed into her. Her nails dug into his back creating harsh red lines. He bit into her shoulder. They were marking each other. Sweat trickled down Paceys forehead and Joeys hair was damp from the exertion. Joeys legs were wrapped around Paceys waist allowing him to penetrate deeper and further inside of her. They stumbled a little and crashed into the corner of the cell. Pacey stilled himself as they attempted to regain balance. Purple-black bruises were slowly coloring across Joey's body while Pacey was thoroughly scratched. Joey tried to move, attempted to ride Pacey but it was impossible in her position. Goddamn it Pacey! Joey cried in frustration. Patience. Pacey informed Joey before he thrust into her. This time his movements were slower, more deliberate, teasing. He quickly brought her to the edge screaming for more but stopped before Joey could find the release she desired. Several times he repeated his actions before pulling away and out of Joey. Pacey! Joey growled warningly with a tinge of desperation. Do you trust me Jo? Do you? Yes! Yes! I do trust you! Pacey critically examined Joeys eyes. Joey moaned as Pacey finally slid into her warm, slick passage again, satisfied by the look in Joeys eyes. He drove them into a frenzy and over. In and out. In and out. Panting, sweaty and hot, their bodies trembling as they cried out for one another and mindlessly reached the throes of passion. When it was over Pacey half collapsed onto Joey, the wall supporting the two. Their bodies were weak and numb from fulfillment. Neither spoke a word as they dressed. The anger had subsided and now it was the eerie quiet that overwhelmed them. Pacey had no idea what it meant. He had no idea if Joey was still angry at him although his own anger had disappeared. Now all Pacey felt was guilt due to the harshness of their encounter and the dark, distinctive bruises across Joeys body. She exited the room and Pacey followed, neither still saying a word. They walked down the corridor together before Pacey could no longer stand the silence. Jo Pacey started to speak. Well, well. Potter and Witter. The two disobedient, quarreling children that Captain had to send to their room. Did you resolve your differences? Drue asked. No wait. I can see that you did. Paceys face was grim when he saw Drueand Anna. He couldnt see Joeys expression, her head bent down and her face covered by her hair. Due to the missing buttons on her shirt, Joeys hands clutched at the front of her shirt trying to cover her chest. Pacey suddenly became acutely aware of his own ruffled appearance. Drue glanced over at his companion. Tsk, tsk, Anna. And here you were telling me that Witter ol boy had problems getting it up. Its a good thing Pacey has such a wonderful partner who is willing him with all his problems. Without a word Joey walked coolly away, exiting the station. "Jo wait". Pacey called out to her but Joey continued to walk away. He made a move to follow her but Drue obstructed his way. You dont think Ive embarrassed her do you? Drue asked in mock concern. How careless of me. Screw you Valentine. Pacey replied before brushing passed him. "Looks like you're the one who has been doing the screwing". Drue called, clearly amused. Pacey! Anna called. Im sorry. Pacey looked at Anna. Me too. With that Pacey exited the station but there was no sight of Joey. |
