People say really dumb things. We all know it. We witness it every day. Honestly, people are really rather idiotic. So why not laugh at other people being dumb?
I do just that (often); and you can too. Here I'll post some stupid things people have said; be it on the internet, IRL, etc..

Example 5 - Where are the black people?

With the cast of thousands to behold, not a single black actor is to be found amongst the elves, dwarves, hobbits and orcs. What's up with that? I don't recall Tolkein specifying race amongst his characters.....

I love it. Silverdote does not say "African Americans" or any other politically correct term. S/he asks where all the "black people" are. That's right, folks... we've lost all the black people. If you are black and reading this... you had better make yourself known to silverdote before s/he has a hissy fit.
No, Tolkien didn't specifiy race amongst his characters. He went to all that work in creating this huge world... and totally forgot that... oh, well. It's not like most of the characters were described as "pale" or "white." And of course, elves can be black...
